Hi, everybody.

I'm about to file a petition for Fiance Visa, but my problem is that I have neither any previous ITR or W2, since I just graduated college on 2013 in the Philippines and came back to the US on Dec 2014. When I got back I didn't get a job until August 2015 and for 6 months I was training for the company without pay only allowance, so there was also nothing for me to file for 2015.

Would an employment certificate and 3-4 pay stubs be sufficient?

Thank you.

According to the 02/19/2014 version of the I-134 instructions, if you are employed as a W-2 you need

B. Statement(s) from your employer on business stationery showing:

1. Date and nature of employment;

2. Salary paid; and

3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

Should be fine unless the embassy wants more.

You don't need any financial stuff for the 129f filing. That is needed for the interview.

My apologies, my statement wasn't clear. I understand that ITRs and W-2 are not needed upon filing, atleast not until the interview which is my problem because I have neither documents to show.

Yes if you don't have those then you don't have those.

Current income is key, so employer letter and pay summaries/stubs are key.

Thanks Baron and Robert for the information you have provided.

Any input is helpful and appreciated. I just want to have a peace of mind in doing this process and not have to worry about my fiance getting denied due to me not having all the documents asked for by the Manila Us Embassy.

If I can get a feedback from someone that filed for K1 visa under the same circumstances, that would really seal the deal for me. Like I said any inputs is greatly appreciated.

If you are just starting the petition process you don't need an ITR or W2 at this time, the ITR and W2 are for later during the actual visa application. And yes an employer letter and pay stubs will work if your projected gross income at least meets the poverty guidelines, plus a letter from you explaining just what your stated here. Many times the embassy is not even asking for evidence of support... you could breeze by. ;)

That is exactly what my concern, which is not having the ITR and W2 later during the actual visa application because I'm planning on filing it within the month. And yes my projected gross income is over the required poverty line.

Thanks Hank...
