I don't know how they are working. But there is 8 approved behind mine and 7 ahead!! Mine is between those :( why? I don't know but I was skipped. So I guess they are not working by order! Maybe my inspector is on vacation and my case is on his desk!!! ??? 1

I can't say I understand what their methodology (if any) is. But your case is several weeks after others that have had no action. There might be a reason, but for those skipped over it is maddening. Of course, good for you if you get approved as fast as possible! I just feel for those that have to wait when they have no way of knowing what is happening.

Congratulations! Head on over to the NVC thread and read up on the guides on the first post about what to prepare for and how to go about the process. You'll find that the NVC process is much more proactive than the USCIS part. Good luck!

OMG!!! Hang in there guys, our case was approved yesterday!!!!! I was checking my emails and read what maggy0219 said, and immediately checked our case and it was approved, im so damn happy!!!

LIN16904441XXX Pd 02/19 Approved 06/22 almost exactly 5 months after they received our case. (Nebraska)

Weird thing is, husband is in SF, and he didn't get any email or text, but it shows on the USCIS website it was approved yesterday, is it normal? should he call them ? or should we just wait ? also he's having problems with his phone so i don't know.

He's coming to Venezuela next week, so we'll be able to celebrate together. Im so damn happy!!!

Whats next?

PS: Ive been quiet but I've been actively following this forum. Its coming soon for all of you, stop trying to figure out how they work, its just so so random really.

Congratulations! But I can assure you that if you were seeing large numbers of approvals of petitions filed weeks after yours you would be trying to figure out what was going on and trying to find patterns to their work processes. I guarantee you that. We all deal with this in our own way.

Am I the last person of POTOMAC?? dear looooord! :/

Another one who has passed the 4-month mark! I'm sorry to hear it.

Igor's list shows 17 outstanding February filers at Potomac. Based on the average that 7 people per month do not update their timeline, that would leave about 10 still outstanding.

Good luck!
