Have any of you considered filing I-129F for K-3? This wait is getting to me and seeing Nebraska processs only two cases a day from my batch and how many January filers are still waiting, I'm thinking a K-3 might be an option.

I've not. I was under the impression that the processing time was about equal? To be honest, I've not checked though. Would be interested if it'd save any time.

This is frustrating. I was hoping it would be sent to California and be processed first.

We thought seriously about it, but there is a 5 month processing time for it as well. Now that the I-130 has already had about 4 months for you, there's almost no way that it would even be looked at before your I-130 is done.

January 20 just got approved at Nebraska - that's exactly 5 months.

Hopefully mine will come soon.

Good luck to all those still waiting....

Hey guys, I've been following this forum for a couple of months. Hang in there! Our I-130 was processed through the Nebraska Service Center. We had a PD of February 22nd, and we were approved today! I hope to see more approvals soon. Good luck to you all! Anyone know where I can get some advice on the next steps? I wanted to start preparing for the NVC process right away, but seems like you can't do much until you get a case number.

Congratulations!

Here's the info you need for the next step http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

While you wait for your case number you can start getting your police certificates and other civil documents ready.

May the rest of your journey be smooth...
