I'm waiting for my status to change to "Sent to the department of state" but nothing yet :( They do advice here on VJ to start calling two weeks after your NOA2 because sometimes they don't update if it's been sent or not I guess. I'm calling tomorrow again.

Yes, that's what I'm hoping is happening with my petition too, that the status hasn't updated but it's already on its way to the NVC or already there. I called on Monday and got the usual six-week talk. Will call again early next week. Good luck to you as well!

Do they still get priority because of Typhoon Haiyan? Or, are these the WW2 vets/spouses?

Because of the typhoon. There is even a Canadian beneficiary that was born in the Philippines but emigrated to Canada as a child and theirs was approved in 34 days because someone at Nebraska saw the magic word "Philippines" and fast-tracked it.

Indeed. Some of these beneficiaries didn't even know their partners when it happened! It's crazy that Syrian beneficiaries don't have any expedite process. If anyone was in a terrible situation, it's Syria.

As you know, that would never fly politically here in the US. I remember some bad weather in the UK sometime in the last decade - maybe you are missing an entitlement somehow?

Possibly... A co-worker of mine in the Lake District lost everything in the Christmas Eve 2015 flooding there. He is still in temporary accommodation along with the rest of his village and his home is having to be completely re-built.

I live on the Dorset coast and we were under water for several months in the winter of 2013-2014 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/20132014_United_Kingdom_winter_floods

Night after night I heard the coastal flood sirens being sounded. We have a lot of wild ponies here and they were up to their chests in water. It started raining a few days before Christmas and didn't stop until after my birthday on February 19.

Still the same status on the website :(

I just called USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 officer who told me that the website isn't to be relied upon now as it may be out of date after approval, and NVC receives the case within 30 days of NOA2 and I should check with them after 30 days of NOA2 (very standard response). I kept asking if she could tell me if or when the case was actually sent to the NVC and she wouldn't tell me, making me think it hasn't been sent yet but wouldn't bet on it. I'll call NVC either later today or tomorrow, just in case they have it already.

You called USCIS! That's good, at least he/she told you that we shouldn't rely on the website. I called today but they didn't have my case yet. I'll keep calling though..Don't worry I'm sure in less than a month we'll have our case and invoice number hopefully. It's so frustrating.....First waiting for NOA2, then waiting for case to reach NVC, then case complete....Woah!
