I was expecting ours to take a little longer than usual because my husband has a criminal record and I think they will look into it deeply to make sure we don't fall under the AWA (we don't).

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

There is no record of anyone getting an RFE for typing vs writing in that box. If you find someone who got an RFE for that, please let us all know.

All the best February 2016 Filers, I'm a February 2015 Filer, best advise is to be patient, make sure you send off all the documents to avoid RFE's, and during the NVC stage, they can send you a check

No, I know that. What I mean is they have (unfortunately) been given the backlog from Texas plus their own new cases. There are people there with NOA1 dates from July. So if ours has been sent there,

I was expecting ours to take a little longer than usual because my husband has a criminal record and I think they will look into it deeply to make sure we don't fall under the AWA (we don't).

I was expecting 5+ months but it looks like things are moving along. I was also bracing for 5-6 month from NOA2 to Interview but it looks like that might be quicker too.

The iPhone app is driving me nuts! Too easy to refresh throughout the day :)

2/12/16 - NOA1 I-130 Nebraska Service Center

6/20/16 - NOA2 I-130 Approved

7/05/16 - Case was sent to The Department of State

7/25/16 - Received case #

7/26/16 - Received bills

7/28/16 - Paid bills

8/02/16 - DS-260 complete

8/04/16 - Scan Date

8/30/16 - NVC "Case Complete"

9/28/16 - Received interview date - 11/7/16

10/12/16 - Medical exam

10/17/16 - Received medical exam results

11/7/16 - Interview scheduled

Just approved....NOA 1 date of 02/16/2016. God definitely has had His hand all over our relationship and case! So good. I pray for continued fast processing within Nebraska!
