Filipino World War II Veterans Parole Program

The Filipino World War II Veterans Parole (FWVP) Program, effective June 8, 2016, allows certain eligible U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents (LPRs) to request parole for their eligible family members.

* If approved for parole, your eligible family members will be able to reunite with family members in the United States before their immigrant visas become available and apply for work authorization.

Really !!! Nebraska Processing time is going to go to 10 months

So if my husband fills out the form and scans it and sends it to me through email would that be fine since it wuld save up time instead of mailing? So the copy that i would send to nebraska would be an email copy .would that be okay?

It should have the wet signature. Have him send the original to you by express mail.

Really !!! Nebraska Processing time is going to go to 10 months

It won't be that bad. Estimates are that there are only 2,000-6,000 veterans still alive. It also requires that they already have approved immigrant visa petitions. They just file an I-131 application for advance parole. It seems that all the service centers handle this. Don't stress :)

Jan 23, 2017: Interview...Approved!

But the visas are for their "eligible family members" to care for them. How many family members each veteran may petition for and what counts as eligible (son? daughter? grandson? cousin twice removed?) is unclear.

I do know there are some not processed from beginning of February also. I kept track of them to get idea about mine.

I just logged in since got notice of update. So it's to NVC after 10 days.
