You need to ask to join.

She said that she called uscis before petition and they didn't require all what you have mentioned so far.

She needs to complain about the person who told her that. It even tells you on the instructions you need all those things

She said that she called uscis before petition and they didn't require all what you have mentioned so far.

It is my conclusion from all I read here that each Embassy/Consulate will ask for different things at different times.

We got asked all the above including pics but no proof of bona fide marriage. Not sure if it is because we have a child or that we have been living together for the last 3 years (we also did DCF).

We too got an RFE though because they wanted a different copy of my husband's previous divorce papers. The one we submitted didn't have the word "absolute" on it.

Took us back two whole months since we had to request it from Germany which is where he got divorced. I was NOT a happy camper :)

Best of luck!

And once again, CONGRATS to those who got approved!!!! :)

Click "spoiler" below for a detailed account of our journey to a CR1 visa via DCF in Athens, Greece.

2011 - Met hubby online and became friends
Early 2013 - Confessed our love for each other * Late 2013 - I got pregnant with our daughter
2014 - Our baby was born in Athens, Greece and completed our family. We now have two boys and a girl!! 2013 - 2015 - Looking for jobs in Greece, none were available (due to socioeconomic crisis) 2015 - Decided only way to feed our family was to immigrate and started the process December 2015 - Got married (Greece has a LOT of red tape for foreigners marrying Greeks)
January 2016 - Finished gathering all documents and getting them translated
* * DCF in Athens, Greece * *

28th January 2016 - Finally filed I-130s
29th June - ISSUED!!!!!!1st July - Visa packages and passports delivered to DHL.4th July - Visas in hand! CU in two weeks USA!!
19th July- POE Detroit. All went well!! (excluding our screaming, jet lagged toddler!!)

After Arrival in the US

September 2016 - Hubby is diagnosed with congestive heart failure
October - February 2016 - Battle with drug use, overdosing, bringing home a tiny paycheck

March - July 2017 - I am working 80 hr weeks to make ends meet. Discovered hubby's affair. Still overdoses and is hospitalized. Has quit working all together.
July - October 2017 - Marriage counseling. Revealed hubby has "several" mental conditions. Is started on several mental meds.

October 2017 - Got accepted for a college course. Got better job to help raise my kids.

October 2017 - March 2018 - Situation at home is toxic. He files for divorce.

July 2018 - Divorce is final. I have full custody of our daughter.

ROC (GC expires July 19th 2018)

July 16th - Package for ROC is delivered to the CA service center (divorce waiver).

August 30th - NOA1 received with 18 month extension (fee waiver approved).

March 28th 2019 - Biometrics

August 8th 2019 - Case Approved No RFE No Interview - 10 year GC in production

N400 (Online - Detroit, MI office)
June 6th 2023 - Applied for naturalization under 5 year rule.
June 7th 2023 - Application received/Biometric will be reused.
June 16th - Interview scheduled.
July 27th - Upcoming interview.

You mean 10/2/15 right?

Maybe they still have cases from October with RFE's. People from December and January are getting approved so I wouldn't worry about it.

I believe that simply means they still have a handful of cases from 10/2/15 they are working on (due to issues like RFEs and the likes), but it does not really mean they're not working on cases that have a NOA1 date after 10/2. Rather check VJ's timelines, that might be more helpful and reassuring :)

I have a theory that I am just spent an hour or so testing out...

It looks like the auto-expedite for Filipino beneficiaries is coming or has come to an end. I think this is the reason for the speeding up of the general workload in Nebraska. Whilst I have sympathy for people affected by severe weather and natural disasters (I'm no stranger to it myself having lived in China with earthquakes - I was personally affected by the Sichuan earthquake in 2008) it was of course frustrating knowing that for every case that was expedited mine was pushed back a little.

Looking at recent NOA1s, so far only one March filer has reported an NOA2 and that was an African beneficiary where an expedite was requested for individual reasons. Not even the Philippines filers from March at Nebraska have NOA2 yet. No one from April has one. Previously it was not uncommon to see NOA2s for the Philippines coming in after a month. So one would have expected to see March ones by now, possibly April.

Furthermore, I have been looking at Potomac. Now we know they are much faster than Nebraska at the moment. But the time between NOA1 and NOA2 seems to be standard across all countries there. Two of the most recent NOA2s there were filed on the same day - one from Germany and one from the Philippines. The German one received NOA2 the day before the Filipino case did. And there are many other similar examples.

I'm pretty sure the policy of expediting certain petitions based on geography added about three weeks to a month to everyone else, especially as the Philippines sees huge numbers of applications - not just for spouses but for parents once the spouses have naturalised. That's about how much Nebraska appear to have sped up. If it had been a much smaller group that were fast-tracked, say Mongolia or Barbados, it wouldn't have made much difference. But we're talking thousands of petitions here.

I'm going to test my theory further by looking at IR-5 cases through Nebraska. Parents from the Philippines were getting NOA2 in a month. I stopped looking because that made me so annoyed when I'm waiting months and months to be with my husband. But I'm going to start studying those timelines again.

Timeline in brief:

That's interesting, hadn't really caught on to that. Good finding!

Another thing that pisses me off is the processing times on the various IR categories. IR/CR1 have no limits, so they are always current for NVC processing. However, IR2-IR4 all have only a certain number of visa issued every year and therefore are held up at the NVC for anywhere between 2 to 20+ years depending upon which category and country it is. Looking at the USCIS processing times, California Service Center is still working on cases from 2011 for "U.S. citizen filing for a brother or sister". But Nebraska shows all petitions at the 5 month period. It's possible very few if any of those IR2-IR4 category petitions are sent to Nebraska, but why can't they slow those down when they won't be processed by the NVC for a long time anyway, and speed up IR1/CR1 petitions?
