@JFH: Thanks, I did not expect it at all, it was quite a shock, but apparently, they approved a few cases after ours as well? I checked, but for some reason ours says it was sent to the dept of state, a case soon after ours was approved.

@E & E: You could just do it the long-winded way and type in case numbers before and after yours to check what is going on there.

Then you should in theory receive information about your case soon. The case after yours has the same status as ours, it means it was approved and sent to NVC. The one before yours is obvious. Yours should be on someone's desk already, so it should hopefully not be long. Do you have an app you can use to check your case once a day on weekdays? (for android phones, there are two I used - USCIS Case Status and USCISApp...)

Sent to department of state probably means it's already approved and on its way to NVC.

Good luck! You will know more soon, I hope :)

Sent to department of state probably means it's already approved and on its way to NVC.

That is actually exactly what it means :) I was so excited! I was waiting for an "approved", and what we get is "off to NVC" right away! Lets see how that stage goes for us...

Sadly, they have not posted on the forum ever so we don't know if there was an expedite involved. It's not a Philippines file, however.

I am a bit worried cos my wife did not send any picture of our wedding, marriage cert.or any other documents along with the I-130 petition..pls can somebody something to make calm down about this?

Hi there! My petition for husband just got approved today (Yay!) and this is all I included with the i-130:

- G-325A forms (one for me and one for my husband)

- 2x2 pictures (one of me and one of my husband)

- copy of my US passport

- copy of our marriage certificate

- copy of our child's birth certificate

That's it. Not even pictures... although I'll make sure my husband will have some during his interview.

You said your wife didn't send your marriage certificate? She more likely will receive an RFE, if that's the case.
