So Happy we got approved today. We got the First noticed 2/22/2016 and today it said it was approved in Pomatic. Ca't wait to receive the official letter and take the next steps.

There is no record of anyone getting an RFE for typing vs writing in that box. If you find someone who got an RFE for that, please let us all know.

All the best February 2016 Filers, I'm a February 2015 Filer, best advise is to be patient, make sure you send off all the documents to avoid RFE's, and during the NVC stage, they can send you a check

No, I know that. What I mean is they have (unfortunately) been given the backlog from Texas plus their own new cases. There are people there with NOA1 dates from July. So if ours has been sent there,

I found a case that has a PD date of 1/15 and was approved today.. okay Nebraska let's catch up with Potomac

OMG, I'm still in shock, but we apparently skipped the notice of approval and directly got the "we sent your case to the Department of State for further visa processing" :o I'm so happy and shocked, I don't know what to think or do. How long does it take for the NVC to receive the case? I have to read up on NVC stuff now. I didn't expect to read that yet...

That was cool, good find! Plain, but not a bad looking building. I do wonder sometimes about how things actually work there, and files are processed because obviously they aren't first-come first-serve basis. Oh well, just gotta wait to hear something back (and hope it's NOA2, not a RFE!)

June 17, 2016 - USCIS website says Case sent to NVC

July 8, 2016 - Welcome Letter Received; DS-261 reviewed over phone

July 9, 2016 - AOS and IV package mailed (FedEx next day)

What did she send? As a minimum she must send:

- the I-130 form

- copy of your marriage certificate and translation if it's not in English

- proof that she is a US citizen (copy of her birth certificate or her passport or her naturalisation certificate)

- proof that any prior marriages either of you had ended lawfully (copies of death certificates or divorce decrees)

- 2 x G-325A (one for each of you)

- a passport-size photo of each of you

- proof of a bona fide marriage and ongoing relationship (photos, tickets to see each other, proof of communication, etc)

- payment (I assume she included this because they reject the application as soon as they receive it if there is no payment enclosed)

If any of the above are missing, she will get an RFE to send the missing items.
