Did a brute force check using the iPhone app to see if any Nebraska early-January I-130s had been approved. Basically just checked various case numbers and found some NOA1 receipt dates of January 4th. Of the 115 I checked, 44 were approved, all within the last few days - 4/27-4/29, and some RFE'd in the same time fram. Looks like things really are speeding up! Now, I just hope the lack of Chrismas time applications doesn't mean January slows everything down!

JFH - you seem to have a good grasp on how Nebraska is moving, any interesting findings?

I watch Nebraska like a hawk! They are lucky I don't live nearby or I'd be peeking through the windows.

Last time I checked, I saw approvals for a bunch of files on December 31. I hadn't seen any January ones so I'll have to take another look.

That's the standard party line - they give you a date that was six months ago. Although it is possible that they still have some old files lurking in the office with complex situations or multiple RFEs going on. It's possible that someone is still working on an October file right now but they have started January now.

Thank you JFH because I was getting so worried.. I even asked if they could transfer my file to somewhere else. Then the smart part of my brain said that might delay you further.. Just wish this could be over already.. Really missing my hubby.. guess it's time to plan a getaway..this is becoming expensive...

Just got our NOA-2 from Potomac today.

Our NOA-1 date was 2-25. We are filing from abroad, in case that matters.

Best of luck to everyone. Looks like Potomac is moving much quicker than originally expected.
