Oh I see now. I blame the jet lag...

Yes, I always ignore Filipino cases and DCF cases when I look at timelines. At the moment I am focusing on Nebraska approval timelines so DCF doesn't come into that equation but some of them are overseas filers and that does throw the figures off track.

I'm sceptical of the other Potomac approval because their timeline is also showing an AOS path. Not all timelines are accurate. Certainly there are people still at Potomac who filed last August and September.

Then there are the trolls...

Its a problem with the form on this site. I'm DCF Thailand, and I have tried to remove the Texas Service center many times, It just comes back after I update.

There is no record of anyone getting an RFE for typing vs writing in that box. If you find someone who got an RFE for that, please let us all know.

All the best February 2016 Filers, I'm a February 2015 Filer, best advise is to be patient, make sure you send off all the documents to avoid RFE's, and during the NVC stage, they can send you a check

No, I know that. What I mean is they have (unfortunately) been given the backlog from Texas plus their own new cases. There are people there with NOA1 dates from July. So if ours has been sent there,

Here I am in the US with my husband for a little visit. We have decided this will be the last one before I get my visa. I had such a nightmare at POE. I had been hoping to come back for a long weekend in June but I just don't want to risk it.

I'm still on the wrong time zone. But having a wonderful time.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

Early 2013 - Confessed our love for each other * Late 2013 - I got pregnant with our daughter
2014 - Our baby was born in Athens, Greece and completed our family. We now have two boys and a girl!! 2013 - 2015 - Looking for jobs in Greece, none were available (due to socioeconomic crisis) 2015 - Decided only way to feed our family was to immigrate and started the process December 2015 - Got married (Greece has a LOT of red tape for foreigners marrying Greeks)
January 2016 - Finished gathering all documents and getting them translated
* * DCF in Athens, Greece * *
28th January 2016 - Finally filed I-130s
29th June - ISSUED!!!!!!1st July - Visa packages and passports delivered to DHL.4th July - Visas in hand! CU in two weeks USA!!
19th July- POE Detroit. All went well!! (excluding our screaming, jet lagged toddler!!)

 

After Arrival in the US

September 2016 - Hubby is diagnosed with congestive heart failure
October - February 2016 - Battle with drug use, overdosing, bringing home a tiny paycheck

March - July 2017 - I am working 80 hr weeks to make ends meet. Discovered hubby's affair. Still overdoses and is hospitalized. Has quit working all together.
July - October 2017 - Marriage counseling. Revealed hubby has "several" mental conditions. Is started on several mental meds.

October 2017 - Got accepted for a college course. Got better job to help raise my kids.

October 2017 - March 2018 - Situation at home is toxic. He files for divorce.

July 2018 - Divorce is final. I have full custody of our daughter.

 

ROC (GC expires July 19th 2018)

July 16th - Package for ROC is delivered to the CA service center (divorce waiver).

August 30th - NOA1 received with 18 month extension (fee waiver approved).

March 28th 2019 - Biometrics

August 8th 2019 - Case Approved No RFE No Interview - 10 year GC in production

N400 (Online - Detroit, MI office)
June 6th 2023 - Applied for naturalization under 5 year rule.
June 7th 2023 - Application received/Biometric will be reused.
June 16th - Interview scheduled.
July 27th - Upcoming interview.

I had a similar problem at first. I hade to change it to something else and then could switch to the actual service center.

@Marrienne: Sorry you had a nightmare! I hope the copying didn't cost too much. I know it can be a pain! (I just handed in a thesis, it was a pain :( )

@JFH: Oh no, what happened when you arrived in the US?

I wrote a long post in the "Yes, you can visit" thread but in short CBP officer kept saying "so your plan is to stay illegally with your husband and not go home". He was asking the same questions repeatedly and changing the question slightly and then back to the original question. I was there for an hour. He was also questioning the route I had taken because I didn't take the direct flight. Even though the indirect route I took is hundreds cheaper he didn't like my answer.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

They said they mailed the package to our home but I already had another member from Greece mail me everything already, so I am basically paper ready, except the DS-260 (need case #) and the police certificate (need case # for that too).
I-864s are ready, evidence gathered and filed for intent to re-establish domicile, and I am waiting for the case # to request medical appointment.

Oooh just got the approval letter in the mail!! But it just says they approved the I-130 and that the Embassy will contact us further. No case number no packet 3 no nothing...!?

no! They just sent a simple letter saying we got approval for the I-130 and nothing else.

It also says the consulate will contact us further, that is all.

Potomac is processing January 20 files. all files near the date please check your receipt number on USCIS website.
