Just had an e-mail about ours. It has been returned to sender as undeliverable. My husband has a PO box! We used a computer to type the address to ensure the digits in the box number and zip code were legible (people often cannot tell the difference between my 1 and 7 when I hand write). He has been through the address with them on the phone. It's all correct.

Oh well.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: India
Timeline

Hey guys, this is my first time on Visa Journey. I filed I-130 for my spouse who currently resides in India. I sent the package out on Wednesday, Feb 10 and it was signed and picked up from the Chicago lockbox at 3:30 PM on Thursday, Feb 11. I see most people usually get their notification of acceptance and their check cashed usually within a week. I still have not received any notification and the check as not been cashed from my checking account. I know its probably too early to start panicking but I am just concerned. Given that Presidents day was the following Monday, I may experience some delay. Has anyone filed around my date? Anyone else experiencing the same or is it just me? I appreciate all the help.

UPDATE: I finally received my SMS notification of acceptance with the receipt number this afternoon at 4:40 PM EST (USA). Now i just have to wait for the hard copy to come in the mail. Also, they have not cashed the personal check I sent (wierd, figured they'd want the money first). Anyone else who has not received theirs yet, yours will be coming soon! I will update my timeline accordingly but so far it is:

2/10/16 - Mailed out package

2/11/16 - Picked up at 3:30 PM at Chicago Lockbox

2/23/16 - Received notification of acceptance via SMS at 4:40 PM

8/19/16 - Case Complete

8/26/16 - Interview Scheduled *Oct 3rd @ Mumbai Consulate*

10/3/16 - Interview Completed *** VISA APPROVED! **

**Awaiting printed VISA**

Personal checks will be changed to EFT, the check will then be shredded so you will not be able to get a copy of it from the bank.

They let you know this on the instructions and they did this with my check also when I filed mine just a few weeks ago.

Ours went to Potomac too (based off the the receipt number starting off with YSC). From what I read the center is inconsistent. Some October filers have received their approvals already while a few August & Sept filers have not received any approvals yet. Hopefully, time fixes any inconsistency.

yeah, from the looks of this, it looks like it's an average of at least 4-5 months.
