JFH- Nothing to panic about. We have no control over the person who is going to review our file. They may make stupid RFE or not.

If they do, prepare one in each ink color. I had my husband do just that in case.

If you get a RFE at least you know the case is being processed and prepare to send the package back quickly with confirmation of delivery. Give it another month and should be able to then move on to NVC.

Right, now I'm having a mild panic. Blue ink or black ink for signatures. I read here to use blue to show its a genuine signature and not a photocopy or computer-printed one. But now I see someone has got an RFE for a blue signature! We can't win! How did you all sign?

Where did you see that RFE? Do you have a link? My husband's signature on his G-325A was blue.

YES I do, it was in the email they sent me it starts with YSC.... Is that a receipt number?

Yes, it is. Do not worry, pretty soon you will be able to check your status in USCIS.

BTW: There are free apps dedicated to check your case, get one.

Potomac receipt numbers from January 19th up til now have not been entered into the USCIS online case tracker yet. We're in the same boat. Maybe Potomac uploads them monthly and we'll see ours online in March.

I do not understand your point.

I recommend to use blue ink on signatures.

I wasn't making a point, I was asking a question of someone else who said they saw someone got an RFE for a signature in blue ink. I was asking for their source so I could see for myself.

Fill it out with BLACK INK, all CAPS.

The signature is recommended to be in dark blue so the adjudicator has no doubts it is a WET SIGNATURE.

If you signed in black ink is OK also.

It is strange that Potomac takes that long, perhaps because they just went online recently. I never seen the other service centers take that long since I started my VJ membership. Up to now, I assumed that once you have an USCIS case number, it was immediately available online.

I hope Potomac moves faster for you guys.

It's about the I-864 but I imagine the same applies everywhere. Or do NVC have different rules than the USCIS?

Wow.. that is ..........

It happened few years ago.

My only comment is that all our signatures are in blue. NO RFEs, No CHECKLISTS.

That's good to know.

I suppose there are "shades of blue". I saw someone got an RFE for signing in purple. What were they thinking?

We used a dark blue ink. Maybe this person used a very light blue?
