I am not sure if any one is still lurking around. But I finally got a notification saying my case is approved and a new card is being ordered. Finally.

Awesome news!.. where did you get this notification was it on the USCIS website?

Not the USCIS website because I had given up checking it. The notification came through mail. Then the next day I received emails and text messages saying a new card is being produced. I have never received emails or text messages on this case before. I checked the uscis site now and it says 'New card is being produced'.

Hi guys, this Friday I am finally going for an oath ceremony. Just to share my experience...I have never received my second GC, since I applied for citizenship before they approved my i751 case. So I received an appointment notice in the mail about a month prior to appointment for Oct 3. Then a week before the n-400 interview they sent me a notice cancelling my appointment. I could not get an answer why or when it would be rescheduled when I called customer service. So, I went there with original letter on the date of appointment without mentioning that it got canceled. They gave me a number and I waited about 1.5 hours to see an officer. Luckily I had a very good officer, who was shocked that my case was taking so long, he apologized and said he will take care of it. Apparently some strange woman put the case in suspended mode because I applied for citizenship prior to getting an approval for GC. Of course, it's BS, if I didn't do that I would still be waiting on GC. So he didn't ask me for any supporting documents, he called several officers to get help unlocking my case in the system and he interviewed me for n-400. Unfortunately, he had to put in a ticket to get the case unlocked but he assured me the case was now in good hands. I think it also helped that I came with my husband and our daughter. He had no other questions. About a week later I got a notice that my GC was approved (but they won't send it obviously). And now 4 weeks later I finally get to the last step - oath and naturalization certificate. I wish you guys luck, and I would keep calling them, or schedule an infopass, it's taking them too long.

Thanks for sharing this, very unique situation and you did smart thing by going in there. Do they really allow spouse and kids? My wife interview is soon and we have lost the new GC (I had mentioned that in the application) and we  can't find the original marriage certificate either.

Hi guys,

I am new to this website. I filed for i751 in March 2016 and completed my biometrics in May 2016. My one year letter expired and I have got 6 month extension stamp on June 2017. That also expired and I have got another 1 year stamp on Jan 2018. Recently I checked online and my case status shows that my file has been moved to local office. This has been so frustrating now that it has been 2 years since I have filled and havent received anything!! I was reading the forums above and learned that some people had filed for neutralization while status pending on GC. Can you really do that? (the USCIS website advice not to file for i400 while i751 case pending.) Please help me with replying your experience with the processes of i751 and i400.

Thank you :)

Hi, we went together with my husband and he was allowed to wait in the waiting room. When the officer came out to call me he saw my husband and greeted him. We didn’t bring our daughter with us but I had a huge family photo attached to my folder so when he saw it he said he had no questions to me. He didn’t invite my husband for interview, it was just me. Good luck to you!

I believe that most people here that became eligible for naturalization during their removal of conditions have actually filed for the N400. I personally believe that this forces them to adjudicate your removal of conditions case.
