From what I've noticed, it takes a month from the date of the approval to have the actual card.

Just include photocopies of your original green card and your original NOA (the extension letter).

When did you file, when did you receive receipt, when was your fingerprint..

just got back from my infopass appointment at Delaware office. The process was quick. They gave me an extension stamp for another year on my passport. And they kept my original green card saying it's not valid and needs to be destroyed. The lady was very professional and told me Vermont office was experiencing a backlog. But she said I would be able to expect a decision in 1-3 months. She also suggested that I would be welcome to apply for citizenship anytime from now. And the whole process of applying for citizenship would take under a year.

Yesterday I spoke with tier 2 representative and she told me that my case is already reviewed by office and my security check is pending and once it gets cleared my case will be moved to local office for interview. I was shocked hearing this. So I decided to speak again with tier 2 on same day.

Now interesting story starts. This lady told me that my case is normal. Nothing to worry and I will get decision with 1 month. Her answer is completely opposite with previous representative. When I had info pass for extension stamp back in Feb 2017, USCIS local office officer told me that my security check is already cleared I don't need to worry. Just need to wait.

 

Now I can't believe that customer representatives and officer from USICS are not in same boat. Every time I call, they give different answers.

Guys, please share if you has such experience.

I recieved my approval letter today. Approval date 3/27/17. Hope everyone gets their approval soon.

Same here. I just got it in the mail. Biometrics was 6/1/16

On March 20th, we received the approval letter for removal of conditions. If you are going to travel, read this: I was out of the country since the 13th, but my wife joined me on the 21st in Guatemala because of our emergency. Guatemalan customs gave us a hard time reading the extension letter and the approval letter. In Ft. Lauderdale, my wife was sent to see another custom behind doors as I waited outside. Just in time, an officer asked who I was waiting for, and I said my wife. He let me in behind doors where my wife was being interviewed. I didn't know that the approval letter recommends not traveling while the card was being produce, so the officer was taking a look at that and not the extension letter. We clearly mentioned to the CBP officer that the extension letter was not expiring until April 2017. Our daughter started crying and probably annoying them that they let us go because the screams were really loud. If traveling while waiting on your card, be polite and respectful but do not let them intimidate you (What an experience lol).

 

Other than that, we are just waiting for the green card to show up in the mail. Good luck everyone who are still waiting and congratulations for the ones that has received the card or being approved.

Wow sound like me, she said exactly the same thing with your first call ( we may get the same lady 😅). She didnt sound nice to me, and she said I would recieve the REF or interview letter in few weeks, its a nightmare. I scared to call them again because I dont want to hear the same thing. Good luck to all of us
