I received my approval letter today! The approval date is 3/08/17, now I just have to wait for the card. 

The status online hasn't changed from the original received status. 

Good luck to all the ones that are still waiting :)

I talked to tier 2 representative. He told me that my security check is pending. But his answer doesn't match with officer of info pass that I scheduled on feb 2017. That officer told me that my security check is already cleared. I am very warry now because security check might take infinite time. I already initiate service request and and it says my case is pending and wait for 60 days.

I don't know should what to do.

Should I involved congress man or wait for 60 days? Still many march filers are waiting for their approval.

 Please share your suggestions.

Hi,

 

march 8th filer here heard nothing since bio on April 8th, when you file a service request do you get a responds from the local office or VSC thank you.

So, I received my approval notice dated 02/28/17 and the day before there was an update to my case that "Name was updated". I called USCIS then and spoke to a tier-2 officer to file a service request for the name change to update it because apparently there was a typo on the application or a typo made on their end. Anyways, I was told to call back on 03/17/17 to get an answer on that service request. I called today, requested to speak to a tier-2 officer and the following conversation happened after he confirmed my identity and such:

 

IO: Sir, says your case is still pending. Did you receive any mail from us?

Me: Yes, I received an approval notice.

IO: That is not possible. Your case is still pending.

Me: But I have the notice.

IO: Can you read what the letter says?

Me: Sure. "Congratulations! Your request for the removal of the conditional basis of your permanent resident status has been approved. You are deemed to be a Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States as of the date of your original admission or adjustment of status.

IO: This doesn't sound like an approval to me.

Me: !!!!

 

I have been quite lucky lately to speak to really understanding and polite IOs, but this one reminded me of how unreasonable and illogical they can really be. Needless to say that I thanked him for his time and got off the phone. And called USCIS again and requested to speak to a tier-2 officer which the wait for was 180 minutes as opposed to 10 minutes the first time this morning. 

 

This is only shared for your amusement. I am still laughing at him saying "This doesn't sound like an approval to me."

Hi I'd like to add my timeline to the list.

NOA: 3/21/2016

Bio: 4/20/2016

File office: VSC

 

I went into USCIS in NYC this morning to stamp my passport. The officer confirmed that my case was still pending, and she did NOT take my expired green card or the i751 letter. So I'm not sure why some folks had their card taken when getting the stamp.

 

Also, the officer said the approval process normally takes 13 months.
