I had an InfoPass appointment today at the NYC field office and it went as follows:

 

I went on time and was given a number and had to wait around 30 minutes for my number to be called. I met with an immigration officer who was serious but pretty courteous. Asked why I was there, and I told her my extension letter is about to expire. She asked for the letter and looked it up then asked for my passport. She stamped it right then and there and told me my case was still pending and that the ROC cases take a long time. She didn't even ask for my green card, so I didn't give it to her.

 

On a side note, I have mentioned before that when you change your address, USCIS would send you a confirmation to the new address but the following notices and correspondences will go to the old address. I have changed my mailing address around two months ago and received a confirmation at the new address, but when I asked her today which address she had on file she said it was the old address. Told her I have updated it a while back, and she said sometimes they don't update the system very often. 

 

I guess after every change of address, we should schedule an InfoPass to confirm it has been changed.

Quick question for everyone here.

I have received this update today and I am not sure what it means:

 

On February 27, 2017, we updated your name for your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EACxxxxxxxx. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

 

Does anyone have a clue what it means? Provided I haven't changed my name at all.
