Hello, my i-751 receipt date was 11th of March 2016. My biometrics test was done on 14th April 2016. I guess then my extension is ending on March 11th 2017. Is this a good time to start panicking and try to book an infopass appointment? Should this info pass appointment fall before 11th of March?

Your extension expires one year from the expiry of your green card, not the receipt date of the I-751.  I'm assuming your card expired in June 2016?  I would make the Infopass appointment 30 days before the extension expires this year, as several threads on here say 30 days is the earliest they could get the stamp.  Of course, you might get approved before then!

Hi Everyone! I just found this thread and have a few questions for the VSC filers:

We filed in March 2016 to get the conditions removed from my husband's 2-year green card.

We received our NOA receipt on March 29,2016.

I can't remember when my husband had his biometric test.

We're now awaiting feedback on his case status.

I went on USCIS.gov to check on the status using the receipt number on the NOA, but received a message that the system does not recognize the receipt number. I didn't use any dashes and triple checked the number. Has anyone received this feedback? Is there another way to check the status of his case? We made an INFOPASS appointment for March 22nd.

How will we know when his case is approved? Did you all receive email updates, letters or go to a website to check?

Thank you!!!!

Oops...I realized that the receipt number has changed to reflect the one on the Biometric test receipt.

I just checked our status and see the following:

Case Was Received

On March 29, 2016, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number XXXXX, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by April 28, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Is anyone else concerned about the short time frame remaining? Like I said before, we've made an INFO PASS appointment for March 22. Does anyone else know how far behind the VSC is in processing March filings?

Hi there, the USCIS processing time website is showing that the VSC is currently processing I-751s from December 2015. Also member rjbntsk just pointed out to me that the extension expiry date is NOT one year from the receipt date. It is one year from the expiry date in your green card. Just FYI.

My friend got hers here in Atlanta in November, took her about 3 months. It's fairly fast for the citizenship

Got the approval congratulations letter in the mail and then got the green card itself in the mail!! Praise God! *Great relief!! and the best valentine gift"!! I filed at CSC and it took almost 11months! I am not a waiver case too. Filed in March but it got there in April so I became an April filer by virtue of when it was received.

So today the Vermont processing time is saying July 2016? Yesterday was December now July, surely an error

It looks to be a error as every date is showing July 2016, but it allowed me to submit a case inquiry
