I had an INFOPASS appointment recently and I would suggest try booking it at about 5-6 am, that's when they usually have spots available. I was able to get mine scheduled first thing in the morning at 6 am. My NOA doesn't expire until June but I have a similar case when I took a new job and had to show my expired GC and NOA for I-9. They accepted it but of course there was an issue later as they misclassified it as another type of receipt. I was able to explain to HR that my case is different and I had to re-do my I-9 but at least it was accepted. So just fyi, make sure HR correctly classifies your case..Good Luck!

I was lucky to get an INFOPASS appointment yesterday I kept checking the site every hour last Monday and got lucky around 8PM. I booked the earliest slot which was scheduled yesterday. I was able to speak to the Officer handling our case and she said that we will be scheduled for Interview in March. I also got I-551 stamped on my passport which is valid until December 2017 (my foreign passport expires on December).

Real glad to have gone to their office, at least now our case is moving and we are clear on the status.

Hi JobienJeck,

I also have a case pending, which i filled on 18th April. I'm really worry right now.

How did you get to talk to the officer that handles your case? And did she tell you the reason why you have an interview instead of RFE? I called them many times but always get to talk to different people and they always told me to call back later since they can't see anything about my case.

Thank you very much and good luck with your interview!

My husband never received a letter for his biometrics appointment! Ever since submitting the paperwork, we check the mail religiously and toss nothing. Is there someone I should call? Looking at the list, it looks like everyone go a biometrics appointment within a month of getting the NOA1. Heading into the new year and drawing closer to his extension deadline I am getting super nervous.

Hi not sure if you already got an answer to your question. That happened to me and I called the immigration, if it's pass 1 month that u haven't got a notice u must call them and they will send u a biometrics schedule in the mail . Thanks

I just checked my status on USCIS website and it has been updated to "New Card Is Being Produced" ^_^ I checked this morning and it was still saying "Case Received", they must've updated it today... needless to say I'm very excited and happy!

Btw I sent out the paperwork regarding my RFE exactly a week ago, I'm very glad they updated the status so quickly!

Good luck everyone!

Hello Everyone,

My conditional(2 yr) Greencard expired on 06/06/2016. I had received 1 year extension letter on 03/16/2016. So, when does my validity expire? Does my legal status remain valid until 03/16/2017 or 06/06/2017? When should I get the info pass/appointment to may be stamp my passport since VSC is slow in processing the cases? Please advise.

Thank you.

It's tricky, and USCIS doesn't seem to be consistent on this. A Tier 2 officer told me over phone that you should go by the receipt date, but an InfoPass officer wouldn't stamp my passport with the I-551 until I was within 30 days of the Green Card expiration date.

my thoughts to you would be to book an InfoPass within 30 days of the date on your Green Card, UNLESS you need to leave the country between your receipt expiration date and your Green Card expiration date, in which case you should try your luck at getting the stamp before your receipt date expires. I'm no lawyer though, so if someone who actually knows the law inside and out tells you otherwise you should go with their advice.

Hi, my GC has expired and the NOA expires in early June. I had an infopass appointment in Atlanta in November and the officer refused to stamp the passport saying that the extension letter extends my GC until the date on the letter. He also told me that I should come back for a stamp if I don't get a new GC within 30 days before expiration date on the letter. So I would think that's the time frame..

I am going to book a INFOPASS 30 days from expiry date of the renewal notice which is in March. April i am out of the country and moving and need something to show i have been extended as i am unable to renew my driving license after March until i have a physical new GC
