Hey guys, I am applying for a Schengen visa, and need to send them both my green card and I-751 Notice. If I don't receive the docs back by the day when my Biometrics appointment is scheduled, can I still go through Biometrics with a copy of I-751 and my NY ID?

They don't ask for the I-751 NOA. They want the original I-797C NOA (Biometrics letter) as it contains bar codes that they use for scanning purposes during your appointment.

Also, they asked for my green card even though I showed they my drivers' license. Not sure if the other posters who already had their bio appt can chime in if they had the same ask about the green card.

i sent the application on Mar 30 and it was delivered on March 31. Now I got the notice of action in mail dated April 1. Postmark shows it was sent out on April 4 and my check was cashed on April 5.

Just got my biometrics done in Atlanta. Make sure you bring your green card and even passport. They told me to put my driver's license away and only looked at my green card, with a glance at the passport.

I also had a 9am appointment, got there at 8am, once the 8am people go in they let the 9am go in too. Went in around 8:15am was out by 9:25am. Very very nice staff.

Just make sure: no food, no drinks, no phone, no electronics and no handbag either. I did bring a pocket book to read and that was ok.

My husband and I are currently in England visiting family and we received the biometrics letter on 03/29/16 with a biometrics appt for 04/06/16. We will not return home until 04/10, so my sister mailed back the original copy to Akexandria, VA requesting a reschedule on 03/30. So far, no letter has been sent back for my husband for a new date. Has anyone else had to do this and already received a new biometrics date? Thank you!

Awesome, Thanks a lot Cybeline for the great advice you gave me. Do you know if I can come in with my wife? She is struggling some with the English language. She understands some but is hard for her to speak it.

Biometrics for us is April 22nd!

Met in 2006 through a pen pal website for school-aged kids when we were 15!
Kept in touch a bit for 4.5 years
02-2011 -Started talking about how to make a relationship work
06-06-2011- Met in Chicago and became a couple, finally!
07-18-2011- I flew back with him to England to meet his family
11-23-2011- He stays with my family and me for three months!
05-16-2012- I flew to England to be with him for a month.
07-15-2012- He flies back to me for another 3 months
12-17-2012- I fly over to England to be with him for 5 months
04-05-2013- We took a trip to Rome, and he asks me to marry him in St. Peter's Square!!!
04-25-2013- I-129F Sent to Dallas Lockbox
05-09-2013- He comes back to visit me for nearly 2 months
07-03-2013- I go back ONE last time, while our I-129F is processing
07-17-2013- Our petition is approved only 79 days later!! kicking.gif
