As long as processing goes well I'm planning on moving end of July (give or take a few weeks as I'm hoping to use airmiles to bring costs down). So my daughter can start school beginning of August with everyone else. I'm just wondering if others had just gone when they got the visa or if they decided to wait until as close to the end of the school year as they could? I was just interested to see what other parents were doing?

Edit: decided to post this here as our schools get out in July which is very late. A lot of schools get out in June in other countries. So this may or may not have affected your decisions.

We moved over in June when we moved. I wanted my son to explore the neighborhood and make friends before school started. By the time school started in Aug he had a bunch of friends.

Both packages sent on March 26

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!

Yeah that also why I what to move in June if possible. And so we can get settled an all before school starts :)

We don't finish until 22nd July. I would take her out a few weeks early, but doubtful I'd do it in June as I feel like she'd miss too much. I understand why you'd go in June :) They don't do much in the last few weeks at school here.

But she would be fine if you choose to :) It's your decision and you should do what you'll feel is best for her
