London DCF processing times

Hi

I'm thinking of applying for DCF in London, it says on VisaJourney website that typical processing time is 3 months, but on the US Embassy page it says to expect anything from 6 to 10 months?!

Does anyone know if this is the embassy merely managing expectations, has anyone gone through this recently (or going through it) and knows roughly how long it takes from first submission to visa in hand?

Managing expectations mostly. It does and can vary though and some of the delay can be self induced (like how long between receiving Packet 3 and you are ready to proceed to interview). All sorts of things can affect it though, so maybe expect 4 months, but really don't lock anything in until your I-130 is approved and has gone according to plan.

That's great advice thank you! In the end we've gone with K-1 fiance visa as it seems quicker once we factor in the time to give notice of marriage and book etc.
