Hey guys, just mailed in my petition for my fiancée (Canada) today after pouring over this website for the past two weeks. It has been a God send!! I couldn't have been luckier to have stumbled upon this site because I almost paid a lawyer, haha. Anyway, good luck to all and wish us the same! I'll see you on the beach!

Anyone's fiancé moving from Canada? What's the closest interview spot?

My fiancée lives in Brampton, Ontario. Her interview place is in Montreal. For those on the west coast of Canada, the interview consulate is in Vancouver. Those are the only two places for this visa, so put down whichever one is closest to you.

Hi guys! Me again. Finally all done. One last thing then we can send our packet!

My fiance and i are both residing here in singapore and we dont have any checque that we can send for the filing fee.

However, i have read some articles that we can pay by money order?

Anyone did the same thing? And where shall we address the payment to?

I tried to call the us visa hotline here in singapore but they are not aware since k1 visa is handled directly by the embassy.

Thank you so much for all your help.

You might want to ask this out in the "big" forum so you can get answers. Maybe try and call USCIS and ask them if there is another way to pay?

K-1 is a one time entry so once you have entered you can not leave again. Or yeah you can leave but not get back in.

After married you file AOS (Adjustment of status - your Green card) with that you file for AP (advance parole) and EAD (work permit).

AP and EAD takes about 60-90 days from the day you file AOS. It is the AP card that allows you to travel and get back in.

And otherwise it's of course when you get the Green Card.

So you can't leave for a while after you get there.
