So I was thinking about postponing my medical for couple of weeks just to be on the more safe side so I called the receptionist at the doctor's office and she told me that the next available appointment would be at the end of May or June!!

So I just decided to keep my current appointment (Beginning of April) and hope for the best.

How is everyone else doing? Excited for the week ahead?

Is it typical to make the medical appointment before NOA2? Are you just making a regular appointment with your GP?

It isn't typical but Georgia did it so I asked the embassy here and because there is such a wait they recommended it. And there are only two doctors in Iceland that do it and they are very busy with other things also so it is really hard to get appointments with them.

Depends on yours country. Like jere in Singapore, I need to wait for my Noa2 / packet 3 before i can take the medial and other stuff. Though appointment is not a problem.

I lived in Iceland for two years. Why would you want to leave such a beautiful country? Just kidding I understand but it is a very beautiful and majestic place.

Haha, well it is that damn heart of mine that just wants to live in the same place as my future husband.

And fresh fruits. I miss fresh fruits.

Hi folks. We filed on Feb 22nd, got the NOA1 approval text on Feb 27th.

I'm curious, I've seen a few people discussing estimations for their NOA2. What is that based on? On my timeline the estimated date has been pushed back a couple of times. I've looked around this site and on the app and I don't understand where people are finding info to base their own estimations on, and where people are seeing that cases with Feb dates have been approved.

Also, belated hello everyone! Good luck!

I think most people are reading through January filers and February filers to see how long it is taking the people who post on them and estimating it off that. Right now the couples who got there Noa1 the first week of February are starting to get there Noa2. About 45 to 60 days usually. Unfortunately lots of people don't update there timeline so the estimate it gives you on your timeline on here isn't very accurate.

Wishing you lots of luck!!

The estimates are for all VJ members who are keeping their timeline up to date. That's where the estimates come from. So it's a running average. So if California is running about 56 days, then you can expect your timeline to reflect your approval at 56 days. Again this is a guesstamation but typically somewhat accurate within a couple of days. But as you stated it sometimes gets pushed back and that can be for many different reasons.
