Yea thats true. It just sucks to have RFE as it will delay the application. Oh well its part of the process! We will see! Just praying for everyone here ;)

I mean of course it sucks to get one no doubt there, but yes it is something that can be fixed and will set back the process for a month if people reply short after they get it so not the end of the world but of course nobody wants one :)

Totally, it's definitely not ideal lol but I also view it as a minor speedbump rather than an actual problem

Exactly yeah, pretty much this - no one wants one haha, but it's also not the end of the world.

I mean what are typically the reasons for getting an RFE? I would assume it's not anything bad, otherwise they'd just not authorise the application?

If you look in the thread on this page or the one before I wrote some of them :)

Thanks! Yeah see the overwhelming majority of these are stuff very easily remedied. Obviously an inconvenience, but nothing that should worry us other than waiting an extra couple of weeks

Yeah, it's a bump on the road. A very long road for all of us so a bump is easy to get over :)

Well it depends on peoples timelines. Of course no one knows how long the process are but some people are hoping for certain date and so on and I'm not to judge how the take the rfe and so on :)

Hopefully no RFE's for us. I sent in plane tickets, stamps in my visa, cash receipts from the kingdom of Bahrain for my visas, movie tickets, a page of texts on what's app from every month for the past two years, our past years video chat records, and flight itineraries. Idk how much more evidence I can submit. Lol! My packet was the size of a college textbook. I'm more worried about the interview, and affidavit of support. I've heard Saudi Arabia is strict, and the fact that i'm in college and not working. My dad is supporting his stay.

I am worried about the support thing too. I mean we should be good but what if we aren't.

And I am stressed about the medical, I have NEVER had an x-ray (except at the dentist) and I hate needles!

Me too! Plus does anyone know if the poverty guidelines are different for the the K1 and the AOS? Is the K1 100% and the AOS 125%? Can somebody posts the link for the two charts or tell me what it is for each of a household of 3? Please

Pamela the U.S. Petitioner

Most embassies use 125% so look at your embassy and see what they want.

They really are, and at the same time they are all so similar!

I think I am anxious too but I am anxious about so many other things also so it all just blends together in one pile of anxiousness.

I told my daughter that I'm starting to feel a bit Eeyore-ish about things, but that I can't tell my fiancee because she might become defeatist. And my daughter asked me when there was a time when I wasn't Eeyore-ish. I had to confess there wasn't a time when Eeyore was outside my personality.

K-1 Application sent 2-16-16

Received at Dallas lockbox 2-18-16

NOA1, sent to California 2-23-16

NOA2 4-21-16

NVC shipped to Manila 5-12-16

Consulate received 5-16-16

US Embassy Interview -- APPROVED!!! 8-24-16 :dancing: :joy: :dancing:

Hopefully for us too! Its so hard waiting. My fiance is also in Saudi Arabia. I was just curious what did you hear Saudi was strict on? We submitted all the same things you guys did so hopefully for both of us no RFE!!!

I have read a few places that they are strict on the affidavit of support. Just be sure you have everything they are asking for. Bank statements, w-2s, letter from the employer stating if it is a permanent job or not along with paycheck stubs, and stating how long they've been with the company. I have read good and bad things, and from what I've come across people have had better luck recently in Saudi than in 2013/14, where it seemed a lot of people were being denied. Just try and make sure that you have everything you are supposed to have, and I'm sure we'll be fine. :) I did read that in Saudi every case goes into AP. No one will get their Visa that day, and it could take anywhere from 1-6 months. Keep in touch, since we both started our process around the same time, we can keep each other updated and hopefully be of support to one another. Good luck :D
