I also hope that you don't get an RFE for this and hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is what the 129F instructions say about submitting a passport as proof of US citizenship:

"You may submit a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport issued with a validity period of at least 5 years. You must submit copies of all pages in the passport".

Please, please, please tell us you send other proof/evidence of US citizenship...

I will just hope for miracle!!! If i get an rfe, at least i hope its just bout this issue.

We only sent copy of passport as he doesnt have his birthcert w him cos he is on deployment at the moment. I read from here tho that its eithe birthcert OR copy of passport.

Huhhu now i am so worried.

When you get finished with your visa you will look back and laugh at yourself for all the worrying you did. This process is so simple. EVERYONE blows it out of proportion all because they read too much. It's all the "I don't remember if I did", will they, what can I do, what about this, and that person got this and on and on. Stop reading, stop checking your case (revert to using the apps that available) and just get on with your life. Your intelligent and have gotten this far in life and you will finish this without any problems if you just follow the guides and what your Embassy lists for requirements on their website.

We did this not to long ago and the interview at the Embassy was FIVE min long. So you say, why did I worry so much for 3 questions and 5 min with the CO?

We have completed AOS and now into the waiting game for ROC. But I am not checking or second guessing. I used the app and I go about my daily business. And my wife. She never ask me if I know what Is going on. She to knows that it's a waiting game.

Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.

Relax Snow.... if you meet or exceed the poverty level for your family there is nothing in this world that changes that. If so you PASS that requirement.

NEXT - Xray is only of your chest and you stand for about 5 minuets during setup and the actual procedure. Nothing to worry about. The needles, that no one can stop. It needs to be done. Just turn your head away while they draw blood. That's what I do and I get through it without any problems. You will too. Good luck.

I always wonder how exact the the meeting of the poverty level has to be, what if we are like 123% it would SUCK to get denied because of couple of bucks!

Do you know if I get to keep the x-ray, would be such a cool memento!

I sent in all pages of my passport (blanks ones as well), and the front and back of my birth certificate. My I-129F of course with an attached sheet with explanation of meeting in person. The G-325A and 2x2 passport style photos with originals signatures for petitioner and beneficiary. The letter of intent to marry for petitioner and beneficiary, with original signatures as well. Pictures of us, along with what I mentioned above. It took me about a month to put together our packet. I really tried to make sure I included everything I could, to avoid any possible RFE's. I tried my best to make sure I had all I needed and what is required.

Don't think you get what I'm saying of course everbody is doing their best to not get an RFE when they do their package.

I'm just saying they hand out RFE's for almost everything: Forgot to ticked a box, forgot to write N/A or None, forgot to sign or answer one question, evidence, forgot to write names on the back of passport photos, not the right size passport photos, not the right birth certificate, missing documents, missing signatures, not the right signatures (not wet) and so on... I'm not saying you get one just saying there are SO many things to get one for and also silly little things in our minds that luckily can be fixed easy. So no matter how much people have prepared it can happen to all of us.

I hope none of us get RFE's.

I don't know what they use in the Iceland but for the Philippines it's given to you on a cd. Never asked for again so most of us have been using it as a drink coaster. It's treated like it's a $265 tool that has a real value of $1. <_<

Usually it's 100% at the interview and 125% at AOS once married. I don't think you are going to fail for a buck or two. :crying:

Can you proactively get copies of all the pages of his passport being he is now deployed? If so, if I were you I'd be getting those ready in cause you get the dreaded RFE and can respond to it as soon as it arrives. I'm not saying you will get it but at least you have that base covered in case you do.

As far as being worried, don't sweat it. Getting an RFE isn't the same as not getting approved, it just mean they need additional information on your petition that wasn't originally fullfilled. So just relax, keep your hopes high and remember this might just be a small hurdle, one that's easily corrected. Good luck to you both!

It might be beneficial to send a copy of his military ID as well.

And regarding RFEs, it seems once CSC gets the requested info the approval is within 2-3 weeks. So like previously mentioned, at least it's not a denial. My fingers are crossed for everyone! And I can't wait for the first February filer to get their NOA2 :)

Hopefully no RFE's for us. I sent in plane tickets, stamps in my visa, cash receipts from the kingdom of Bahrain for my visas, movie tickets, a page of texts on what's app from every month for the past two years, our past years video chat records, and flight itineraries. Idk how much more evidence I can submit. Lol! My packet was the size of a college textbook. I'm more worried about the interview, and affidavit of support. I've heard Saudi Arabia is strict, and the fact that i'm in college and not working. My dad is supporting his stay.

Hopefully for us too! Its so hard waiting. My fiance is also in Saudi Arabia. I was just curious what did you hear Saudi was strict on? We submitted all the same things you guys did so hopefully for both of us no RFE!!!

Forgive me if I'm wrong here guys, but an RFE isn't the end of the world is it? I mean, it's not a rejection - it's just a request for further evidence. Sure it'll delay the process by a couple of weeks or maybe even more, but at least it's not a flat out rejection? I mean don't get me wrong, no one wants to get one but I could think of worse things

Unless I've got it all wrong about what an RFE is...
