My understanding about the birth certificates is that they vary depending on the state, but you want to make sure you're providing one that lists your parents' names. For example, I'm from Maine originally and they only have one option, a certified copy of the original, and that shows my parents' names, birth time, witnesses etc. If you want to see the difference between long and short form just look up the Obama birth certificate controversey :P

Haha.

Yea, we got the one with both parents name so hopefully we should be good!

I am telling you, we are going to get a RFE for something really stupid!

Yeah not a good idea. I did the same with RFE's and now have 100 ideas of why we would get one. They have been passing out RFE a lot.

Other then that I'm just counting down the days til he gets here 13 days to go, it will be SO good to spend some time together.

Hope everbody is fine.

My Mr is coming in 13 days too. I'm so excited. That's what I've have been trying to focus on too

34 days in the wait is killing! Our only worry is an RFE, the rest of the steps after NOA2 should be fine and mostly just waiting around.

Good luck all!

Where are you seeing these RFE's?

The January Filers forum and then if you search in the app you can see other case numbers that get RFEs as well.

I've also noticed that the people waiting longer (past the estimated time) are the ones getting the RFEs...anyone else notice this or am I just reading into it too much? Lol

Interesting theory Lowens!

You can also see some RFE's on the Igors list. The people that have been receiving their NOA2's now and applied in December are the ones that had RFE.

I noticed that the people from December and early January that were still waiting started getting RFEs this past week. (For the most part)

Hopefully no RFE's for us. I sent in plane tickets, stamps in my visa, cash receipts from the kingdom of Bahrain for my visas, movie tickets, a page of texts on what's app from every month for the past two years, our past years video chat records, and flight itineraries. Idk how much more evidence I can submit. Lol! My packet was the size of a college textbook. I'm more worried about the interview, and affidavit of support. I've heard Saudi Arabia is strict, and the fact that i'm in college and not working. My dad is supporting his stay.

I am worried about the support thing too. I mean we should be good but what if we aren't.

And I am stressed about the medical, I have NEVER had an x-ray (except at the dentist) and I hate needles!

Yes all pages except of course the blank ones ?

I also hope that you don't get an RFE for this and hate to be the bearer of bad news but this is what the 129F instructions say about submitting a passport as proof of US citizenship:

"You may submit a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport issued with a validity period of at least 5 years. You must submit copies of all pages in the passport".

Please, please, please tell us you send other proof/evidence of US citizenship...

RFE's can be giving for other thing then evidence so you'll never know...

Yes like said before in the December/January thread and yes I also see those waiting often get the RFE's.

But I have also done a search on side and off side to see what people get RFE's for

I sent in all pages of my passport (blanks ones as well), and the front and back of my birth certificate. My I-129F of course with an attached sheet with explanation of meeting in person. The G-325A and 2x2 passport style photos with originals signatures for petitioner and beneficiary. The letter of intent to marry for petitioner and beneficiary, with original signatures as well. Pictures of us, along with what I mentioned above. It took me about a month to put together our packet. I really tried to make sure I included everything I could, to avoid any possible RFE's. I tried my best to make sure I had all I needed and what is required.

Relax Snow.... if you meet or exceed the poverty level for your family there is nothing in this world that changes that. If so you PASS that requirement.

NEXT - Xray is only of your chest and you stand for about 5 minuets during setup and the actual procedure. Nothing to worry about. The needles, that no one can stop. It needs to be done. Just turn your head away while they draw blood. That's what I do and I get through it without any problems. You will too. Good luck.
