Hello everyone!

I just had a quick question; I received my NOA1 on February 19th (via text and e-mail), but when I check my case status on the USCIS website is says "My case was received" on February 16th.

I know three days doesn't make much of a difference in their eyes, but I was just curious which date I should consider my official NOA1. I assumed the 19th was when I got the text.

Thanks!!

Yes, the 19th

Since our thread fell to page 3 I decided to pop in here and just ask how everyone is doing?

I am supposed to be writing but I fell into the dark abyss of sad stories on here. I have to stop doing that!

Yeah not a good idea. I did the same with RFE's and now have 100 ideas of why we would get one. They have been passing out RFE a lot.

Other then that I'm just counting down the days til he gets here 13 days to go, it will be SO good to spend some time together.

Hope everbody is fine.

Oh yea, I read something about different types of US birth certificates and I was like great we probably sent the wrong one.

Yay, I am happy for you! It will be great!

I am wondering if I should call and postpone the medical because I don't think the NOA2 for me will be ready before the 1st of April.

Yeah that have been on my mind too. I didn't know there was more then one kind and I just asked him to get one and he ordered one but I have no idea if it is the right one or not.

Yes, it will be very good I can't wait at all. Will be great to spend time together and can put this process away for a week I need that.

Yeah we are talking about doing the same here.

No, but the problem are if you guys do not show them how do they know they are blank if you get what I'm saying.

But yes I hope you won't get one either :)

My understanding about the birth certificates is that they vary depending on the state, but you want to make sure you're providing one that lists your parents' names. For example, I'm from Maine originally and they only have one option, a certified copy of the original, and that shows my parents' names, birth time, witnesses etc. If you want to see the difference between long and short form just look up the Obama birth certificate controversey :P
