Hey everyone, hope you are well and not as anxious as I am :-)

I need your help.

I read on someone's post that my fiancé does not need to wait for the medical to get started on the vaccinations required. Is this true? If yes, what are the vaccinations he can get now as we wait for the NOA2? Can he get them through his regular doctor and what will the immigration need him to bring to prove he has had the vaccinations done in order to sign off on it? Some vaccinations e.g. yellow fever (he lives in Southern Africa) he already has but not sure if there is a requirement for them to have been done recently.

Thank you for your time. All the best in your journeys...

It all depends. Here we'll just get them at the medical won't be more expensive then at the regular doctor. So guess it's just a choice people make.

Does he have a vaccine card or something like that then he should bring it so they can see what he have already gotten. In the end it will be the doctor at the medical who determent if there are any vaccines there are missing.

Yes he has a vaccination card but only has yellow fever vaccination on it. He has gotten some vaccinations over the years but he does not remember what exactly and if they will meet the visa requirements.

Like you said, I think its best that he waits to get whatever he does not have at his medical and it will probably be less expensive.

Thanks for your quick response. Appreciate it.

Hello All,

Thanks for the invaluable information on the site. We received our NOA1 on February 26th, after gathering a lot of great advice from here. I've started some preliminary work on the next packet, and just had a question regarding form I-134, the affidavit of support. I've seen conflicting information as to how much additional information needs to be provided if you are well over the 125% support line. If I'm significantly over that in yearly salary, do I still need to request bank statements/letters and stock brokerage reports? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I will also add that the more aware and informed your Beneficiary becomes about your finances, the better chances of him/her answering any financial question they might ask at interview time. Remember, the CO is trying to establish if the relationship is indeed bona-fide and by you openly providing this information to your Beneficiary is one less red flag that might pop up to worry about. If I were you, I definitely include as much as possible evidence with the Affidavit of Support, it definitely won't hurt. Is better to have it and don't need it than to need it and don't have it ?

I've been wondering the same thing! Can't really find anything solid though. I'm a disabled vet and receive VA disability as well as Soc. Sec. The only thing taxable is Soc Sec. I'm well over the poverty line but not sure how it's see able through my tax transcripts... I have proof from the government showing my monthly pay... So yeah, in the same boat as you.

Thank you for your service! :) Have you tried calling VA to see if they can provide you a letter stating your monthly distribution?

Yeah, I said that, I have proof. Online they have official letters that you can print off saying what your benefits are and all that jazz. On their stationary and everything. It's basically a pay stub.

When it comes down to it, I'm just over hyping the process... I front loaded my packet with that info in it and I'll give my fiancée my tax transcript to take to the interview when she visits this week.
