I've been wondering the same thing! Can't really find anything solid though. I'm a disabled vet and receive VA disability as well as Soc. Sec. The only thing taxable is Soc Sec. I'm well over the poverty line but not sure how it's see able through my tax transcripts... I have proof from the government showing my monthly pay... So yeah, in the same boat as you.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one finding mixed information. Thank you for your service to our country.

Hey all,

I'm late to the party, but I wish I had come across this site earlier! I filed paperwork for Danish fiance on Feb 24th and it was signed for on Feb 26th. Can't wait to share updates and read everyone's news!

God bless y'all,

Efe

Welcome nice with another dane :)

I can see you have put your consulate as Denmark? I don't hope you have done that on the I-129F, otherwise you might need to contact them and get it corrected quickly.

Got my vaccinations last night, well, turns out I only needed a tetanus as I've already had MMr's when I was younger, and I've also had chickenpox as a kid so I don't need the vericella vaccination.

Got my form to say that I've got all the vaccinations needed! :)

Did you bring any documents to the GP to show what you need to have done ?

I've booked my appointment for the end of the month to get any vaccination and a print out of all my vaccination I've already had.

Theres a good guide on here outlining what you need, apparently the Embassy website for London is outdated.

Didn't take any documents, just told the doctor what I needed and she was happy to give me them

Thank you, I'v read what I need to get done I think it's just the pertussis, not sure if the give it as a single vaccine. I've worked for the NHS and have had a previous U.S. VISA that required vaccination so have had all apart from that I've even had a blood test with my previous visa for history of chickenpox which prove I've had it and have the antibodies for it.

When I booked the appointment the nurse mentioned if I had any paperwork to prove what I needed to get, so was just wondering if you took anything or what I could print of to take as I haven't officially been given anything. I'm just trying to be proactive and getting them sorted prior to the medical.

Hello All,

Thanks for the invaluable information on the site. We received our NOA1 on February 26th, after gathering a lot of great advice from here. I've started some preliminary work on the next packet, and just had a question regarding form I-134, the affidavit of support. I've seen conflicting information as to how much additional information needs to be provided if you are well over the 125% support line. If I'm significantly over that in yearly salary, do I still need to request bank statements/letters and stock brokerage reports? Thanks in advance for any advice.

As per Form I-134 instructions, you need to provide, in duplicate, supporting evidence of your financial resources. Those include the bank statement, employer statement, and last income tax return filed if self employed. Failure to provide such evidence may result in visa denial.

It depends on the specifik embassy what they want to see and what people are using to show financial support. Therefore people should go to their country forum to seek answers to this question.

Thanks for the reply. While I certainly am willing to get the additional paperwork, I'm just wondering if it is really necessary. Additionally, I stay mostly fully invested with extra cash (except for a fairly small amount of cash for emergencies), so I'm wondering if providing just that on hand cash balance would be positive or not.

Maybe try writing a letter explaining and I think the tax forms would be able to prove your income/above poverty line. ?

Hey everyone, hope you are well and not as anxious as I am :-)

I need your help.

I read on someone's post that my fiancé does not need to wait for the medical to get started on the vaccinations required. Is this true? If yes, what are the vaccinations he can get now as we wait for the NOA2? Can he get them through his regular doctor and what will the immigration need him to bring to prove he has had the vaccinations done in order to sign off on it? Some vaccinations e.g. yellow fever (he lives in Southern Africa) he already has but not sure if there is a requirement for them to have been done recently.

Thank you for your time. All the best in your journeys...
