In line with J178's question, I checked the list of the other documents needed for the interview. Is it okay to start getting/gathering documents (might be country specific to philippines) such as NBI clearance, CENOMAR, and NSO birth certificate as early as now or is it advisable to wait until we get NOA2? :)

Oh, and congratulations to the new filers and to the ones who recently got their NOA1! :)

I have a website for those filing through the Philippines with step by step directions, maps, documents and things to avoid so you don't receive an RFE. Its FREE to use and you can find the link below at the red twisting arrow. Jump over to the sub-forum for help from others who have been down the road you are about to take. Good luck.

I think with regards with nbi clearance, it is better to get when you have the date of your interview or when you got your noa2 cos i believe NBI clearance has the validity of 3 months only :)

NBI is good for 1 year, but the Embassy requires it not to be older than 6 months along with the CENOMAR at the time of the interview.

At the time I got my NOA1 the estimated time was between March 20th and 22nd. After that they have fallen a bit behind so now mine is March 23th - 26th, not that I'm complaining though it's still fast.

If you go in to your own timeline you have an estimated time as well since you have entered your NOA1 date :)

And welcome :)

Since the interview will be done at a US Embassy, all documents have to be in English.

I attached my fiancee's Philippine Birth Certificate and CENOMAR to the I-129F. I also sent the proof of financial support (can't remember exactly what that's called), along with my accounting firm's data on my revenue and expenses, pulled down from their secure website. From the sounds of it, I'll have to do a new Intent To Marry and she'll have to get a new CENOMAR?

K-1 Application sent 2-16-16

Received at Dallas lockbox 2-18-16

NOA1, sent to California 2-23-16

NOA2 4-21-16

NVC shipped to Manila 5-12-16

Consulate received 5-16-16

All of that wasn't needed in the package but at the interview, so you have to prepare it all again and send to her before the interview :)

Have a question for you guys hope you can help. So my fiance is from and lives in Cameroon but lived in Qatar for a couple years so I know he will need clearance from there as well. In order for him to obtain this he needs to travel to where the US embassy is in Yaounde,Cameroon which is 12 hours away from him. Then he will need to travel to Nigeria where the nearest Qatari Embassy is which really sucks. Due to limited funds he will probably be going by land and boat for this adventure which is a lot. So we were thinking of having him get what he needs in Yaounde when he has to do his medical to save from making two trips to Yaounde and then another for his interview. I have done a lot of reading but still unsure about the total process after we get NOA2. Does he need to have everything gathered as far as his forms and clearance before the medical? If he does he will need to make more trips and start the journey for his clearance for Qatar now. We are trying to get everything done that we can just meeting some obstacles and wanna be ready with everything so when it is time we have everything. Trying avoid delays obviously. How long between the medical and the interview? Thanks in advance for your help.

No, he does not need all of that before the medical he needs it before the interview though.

Look at the top tab Guides, there you can read about the process after NOA2. I have also put it in here on pages back in this thread.

How long there is between the medical and interview is specifik to the country, therefore you'll have to ask that one in the country specific forum or look at timelines for people going through the same embassy.
