Hi all, quick update... Dee got her K-1 and it's in her passport. She intended to then apply for a Schengen (have to surrender passport to them too) so she can stop off in NL on the way here. She had a bout of illness and it threw off her processing for that by about a week but she has that too (I had to provide a letter justifying her claim to be a tourist, I said hey we just dropped 7 months on a K1 and intend to get married so of course she's traveling onward, but worded more formally)

She now has the K1 and Schengen and she leaves for NL tomorrow (2 AM my time, 1 PM hers) and then for the US on the 24th. DTW will be her POE and I will go pick her up.

Now we are stressing about the SocSec DriversLic MarriageLic ceremony AOS process because there are so many bits that interlock (can't get ML without 2 pic IDs and a SSN, can't get DL (pic ID) without a SSN, can't get SSN until you wait a few days or else it is slower, etc) but I expect it will go more smoothly and faster.

Glad she is feeling better and that her POE will be good and easy. :)

Is DTW/Detroit considered to be an easy PoE? Maybe I missed something?

Hi all ,

Here is an update about my K1 journey: I arrived at P.O.E JFK on 10/12/2016 and the process was very smooth! No questions were asked and immigration officers were very nice to me.

I had 2h30 between flights and ended up missing my connecting flight because there were a lot of people going through immigration at the time.

Other than that, I am now officially living in NC, reunited with my fiancé and loving it so far!

Thank you Georgia, My question is really short, do I need to just wait till my case says "READY" on CEAC tracking page or do I need to do something in order to move ahead?
