When we were putting our original packet together, I made one copy for USCIS, one copy for me, one copy for my fiancee. It was already front-loaded with materials that would be needed later in the process, such as my affidavit of support and financial proof from the previous 3 years and a few other things. And she was gathering other documents, such as her NBI report (national police record), her CENOMAR (phils requirement), and other documents that weren't required at the first filing but were required at the end. We took the entire packet with the additional stuff in a portable expandable file folder (like a notebook but lots of file pockets that can be labeled for easy retrieval). During the multi-window US Embassy visit, some of the documents were required at different stages, but not nearly all of them. But she should bring it all. You don't know what they will ask for and what they won't.

Thank you for your answer but I don't think it answered the question I was asking. What we are confused about is this... is there a requirement to send documentation to the embassy in advance of the interview or is it sufficient to just bring all the paperwork along at the time of the interview. We of course have copies of everything ever submitted and Dee will bring it all.

Thanks.

That's a question to ask in the thread for whatever country the interview will be held in. It's country specific, in some countries they want you to send stuff before the interview, in some (like Sweden) you bring everything to the interview instead.

Hi everyone :goofy:

I have a question about Official U.S Visa Information and Appointment Services. I'm so confuse between Temporary Visa and Permanent Visa. When i click temporary visa which is non-immigrant there is no option for K1 visa. But under the permanent visa which is immigrant K1 visa is available.

Should i go for Permanent Visa which is Immigrant? But K1 visa is under non- immigrant, right?

Please advise

Thank you

Hi,

I know it's confusing, I've gone through the same thing. Just click wherever the K1 visa is. :)

Does anyone have an idea what the costs for the medical exam is? I know this will vary greatly country to country - but there is virtually no activity on our country's page. I just want a ballpark figure in US dollars, if anyone has one.

My medical was 330 USD. We only have two clinics in Sweden that does this type of medical for visas to the US, this was the cheaper one.

Hey everyone,

My fiance entered the US this past Friday-- exactly 6 months since our NOA1! I am soooo happy to be "done" with this phase and for us to be together! Good luck to everyone... the wait is well worth all the stress. (L)
