Question on supporting docs for affidavit of support and the embassy package

For tax it says 1040 and W2

I file complex taxes. And this year I had 7 states. My W2 is 6 pages. Just the federal part of my tax return is 50 pages.

Can we use just the federal (first page) W2 and just the 1040 (a few pages) or just the federal part, or do we need to print all 7 states and the entire W2?

Thanks :)

Yeah he likes it here but at the same time he misses home (me too!) but we have found some Danish food and a way for him to skype/game with his old friends which helped a lot. It was worse when he hadn't gotten any friends yet. Now he is in both school and soccer club and that has just been great for him.

I'm lucky we live right by a park and that I can walk my boy to and from school. We do shopping in the weekend but If I need something or forgot something I can bike or walk to get it. It's just my independence there is missing the being able to drive!!

That's wonderful! He won't be bored at least. It's understandable that you miss your old place since it has been home for a long time and there are so many little things you both loved there, I'm sure your new home will bring some amazing memories too! Yeah, I get the feeling very well, same with me only in my case even bike doesn't help that much since the city where I live is so huge and the closest thing is so far and it's all under the scorching sun so I think I'd rather wait for my driving license than get into a fried omelette  Are you used to the american measurement system with the pounds/feet/miles instead of the metric system? :) I'm using both and can't stop myself from converting one into another, need some work on that.

I only had a few pages with me at the interview, I think it was 1 page of w2 and 2 pages of 1040, it was a simple standard from of income taxes. Hope that helps :)

Haha I know what you mean! ... The sun is terrible! and you might have it way warmer then we do!

No, I'm only used to the metric system so I have to convert everything via my phone haha hopefully I'll get it soon!

It's nearing two months since NVC sent our application to the embassy and it's still in transit...we are going insane! Anyone have a worst case scenario of how long this can take? At least if we knew it could take up to so many months, it would be something...but the not knowing is getting the best of us!

They said that it's probably still waiting to be processed in the mail room.I called NVC also just to make sure it was sent, and they confirmed that it was. So just have to wait I guess.

Probably!? That's scary! Write them and get them to confirm that at least they got it!

I haven't heard of any case taking this long to reach the embassy after NVC sends it out. This is pretty unusual. Especially when NVC ships them out DHL. Call NVC and the Embassy and demand answers.

Thank you for the feedback. I am going to call tomorrow and find out what is going on. It's somewhat of a relief to know it's not just me that finds this to be way too long.

(Sorry to keep adding more messages! But maybe it will help someone in a similar boat?) Went ahead and called NVC tonight - was lucky to find a service rep that agreed it's taking too long and spoke with her supervisor They are going to do a review - essentially if there's no movement on the case by next Monday they are going to...I guess, make it happen? Which is finally, at least, something! I think what helped was mentioning the expiration date on the application - after all, the government cares about their stats and don't want expired documents linked to them.

I'm really hoping this works because who else is there really to contact? The embassy has just been one dead end.

A little. Was that your whole return? No schedule A or C or other forms?

If someone who had a more complex return could give their experience that would be great... (maybe this is a question for one of the processing threads instead of a date specific one?)

On the medical checkup, what kinds of things are being looked for? My fiancee is worried that because she is very highly stressed (her father just passed away early Monday morning) that she will fail. I told her they just look for infectuous diseases and suchlike but that was a guess.

Her being stress as her father just passed away won't effect her medical.
