Hey everyone.

Our group is so quiet now but wanted to say that my fiance's visa status finally changed to "Issued"! it's been 13 business days since his interview and tomorrow makes three weeks. We were kinda freaking out a bit cus the 10 days they told him had passed but when we went into AP yesterday, we were hopeful. Next step is his arrival. It's been quite a journey of patience but everything has gone well. :dancing:

Congrats! I'm glad everything has worked out! Thanks for updating...my fiance's interview is in exactly one week and I know they usually say to come back for visa pickup in 10 days. So did your fiance go to pick up or did you all just wait to check status? I'm asking because my fiance lives 8hrs from Lagos.

You have to check under Immigrant Visa...not the Non-immigrant choice

Thanks so much! We've just been checking the status online. My fiance isn't in Lagos so he'll have to travel there to go pick it up right before he travels :)

The 10 day line seems to be the standard script. Some get it in 10 days, others like us didn't lol.

Congrats! I'm glad everything has worked out! Thanks for updating...my fiance's interview is in exactly one week and I know they usually say to come back for visa pickup in 10 days. Thanks so much! I hope you've settled well in Georgia. It's been almost two months for you. Hope all is well :)

Congrats! :)

So there's a little bit of a hurdle. I have sent out packet 3 last week to the Hong Kong embassy and I have recieved a letter from them telling me they can't schedule an appointment until they recieve the Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from the Philippines. I have already paid and applied for it 2 weeks ago but I have just recieved a message saying it's still on its way to being processed and will be arriving 6-8 weeks later........... :( With my wedding being closer everyday, I am kind of losing time.

That's sad, Jozelle. You guys have already waited so long. I hope the certificate reaches you faster than what they tell you.

Thank you. Everything is going well. My boy started school monday and I was SO nervous but he had a great start and have been happy everyday I pick him up. He has a really great teacher so that really helps!... He is doing so good with his english already :)

We really enjoyed our wedding! I can't wait to hear back from the photographer to see our pictures :D

The only thing that really irritates me is that I can't drive! I makes me crazy!!!

Thanks :)

Yeah he likes it here but at the same time he misses home (me too!) but we have found some Danish food and a way for him to skype/game with his old friends which helped a lot. It was worse when he hadn't gotten any friends yet. Now he is in both school and soccer club and that has just been great for him.

I'm lucky we live right by a park and that I can walk my boy to and from school. We do shopping in the weekend but If I need something or forgot something I can bike or walk to get it. It's just my independence there is missing the being able to drive!!
