Congrats to you!! What kind of questions were asked I wonder? What kind of information did they ask to see? Hopefully they issue the actual visa in hand not to long from now :dancing:

I'm not exactly sure what they asked I didn't do the interview my fiance did. I can remember some of them they wanted to know how we met, about my trip to go see him, about my son, about the wedding and about the co sponsor. I know there were a couple more but I can't recall. I'm sorry. They said he could pick up his visa on the 18th.

So i am going crazy right now! our I-129f expires in 12 days and i still haven't heard from the embassy. they do not take phone calls, so i sent them 5 emails and no reply till now.

what should I do ?

Contact NVC and explain the situation. They should be able to extend your expiration date.

Congratulaions Pamela and Sama on your visa approval today!

Hi Tarq,

Don't drive your self crazy about the expiration date of your NOA2 because the CO will extend it automatically ;) NO WORRIES.

regarding of RID embassy delays of assigning appointments for k1 visa nominated, I guess due to a high season "summer time in saudi'' so the priority will be for tourists and students. Additionally, as known the vacation this year will be taking 4 months started since last May till September. Nevertheless, I think our appointments will start to take a place from the middle of september and onward.

All the best for you (F)(F)(F)

Believe me when I say you aren't the only one going crazy. This is absolutely absurd with the wait time and the fact they haven't responded to any of my emails either (The past 3 I've sent) I'm sorry but its just getting beyond ridiculous. I'm not sure what to do at this point.:ranting:

Quick question guys.

For the DS160 form, I have to put 'unemployed' but they also have a box stating why. I have resigned from my previous job on 23 June in preparation for my big move although I didn't know yet when that would be. I also resigned because it requires me to work on weekends and all special occasions like my birthday, parent's anniversary and church anniversary all falls on a weekend and I didn't want my last moments here in Hong Kong missing out on special occasions.

With that said, what should I write down in the explanation that doesn't sound so bad? Thanks in advance!

I was unemployed too (by own choice though) but I never write anywhere on DS-160 why

Can I write a brief 'I resigned on 23 June 2016 due to personal reasons.' Lol. I mean does this even matter too much to them? I am not applying for a work visa.

I guess you can if it makes you feel better writing something :)
