our case was received on the 19th of May. i was with my fiancee in the US. i got back end of the month and mailed them

packet 3. my case was updated on 19th of June. till now no word from the embassy

Since we received our NVC case number we have been "in transit"...for over a month. The embassy says they haven't received it also that they are booked all of July (this was told to me about 2 weeks ago)...is it possible NVC is waiting to transfer the case until there are open interview appointments? Has anyone else been experiencing this? Not sure if we should be concerned or if this is typical.

Hi everyone! Finally flew to Cali 26th of july :) I just wanna ask if I can get a drivers license asap or do I need to get married first and acquire social security first? Thank you!

Cali is the easy state when it comes to DL they hand them out to everybody

Either way, I plan on her doing CFO before her passport returns from the Embassy so she'll have to return for the sticker. But can she do CFO first and Embassy second or does it have to be Embassy first and CFO second?

She can do CFO now. Mine did her CFO as soon as we got approved (case wasnt even at NVC yet). Plus we already did the DS-160. Its a PITA if you have a slow connection like in the Philippines. I actually did it here in the states and sent her screenshots to review before actually submitting. Here is a great post to read before doing the CFO...

Hello guys, I have another question.

upon entering my POE last july 26, the immigration personnel placed a date on my visa. I just want to ask if the said date is the deadline for the wedding or if by that date, we should have filed AOS already? Thanks guys!

The wedding. You can AOS whenever you feel like it after the wedding, doesn't have to be within those 90 days. But it's recommended to do it asap after the wedding so you're not "out of status" for long in between.
