Hi everyone Sorry I have another question right now the package with all the documents is lost and they have decided since they are paying me my money back that they no longer have to look for it. With that being said my cousin is going to co sponsor and is having a hard time recollecting them all we have all but the one from their bank and his job. When you go to your interview do they ask for those ones? What proof of income did they ask for? Also is the affidavit of support the only one that needs a wet signature? We are running out of time to get the docs to him as his interview is August 2nd so if they do not ask for the one from the bank or employer I'm going to send what we have which is affidavit of support from both of us, my updated version of the intent to marry, pay stubs from both, w-2's from both, fed income tax return from both, a copy of his birth certificate, a statement from my job, and a statement from my bank. In the packet 3 it says just w-2's and income tax return but in the visa journey list it lists all the other proof you need to provide. Thank you all in advance for your help.

Sorry to hear you got problems with the package. It really depends on the embassy what they want. Some want it all and others don't. We only gave the I-134 and tax return 2015 and w2. If it's a new job they might want to see more too. Hopefully everything will work out

Received notice today that my Jamaican fiance' petition has been approved! We are so freaking excited!!!

I continue to worry though. I'm afraid I will mess something up and it will ruin it. ??

Congrats on the approval. Just follow the guide in here and look in forums what others have done from that embassy and you'll be fine.

Hi!

My fiancé is getting all the evidence for the i145 form. He bought his business partner to become a sole owner last October. It was a big investment so his last year´s income tax return is below the poverty guidelines, however his bank statements this year are showing that he is doing pretty good with his business. He wrote a letter detailing the investment, as well as a projection for this year´s earning. He also has documentations that proves how much the business has done in the last years. Would the income tax return, the letter, the bank statements and the business records would be alright or should we get a co-sponsor?

I would really appreciate your help if someone know´s the answer or something that might help us know what to do. Thanks so much and congratulations to all the approvals.

Folks, Things are getting frustrated day by day for me and my fiance and we really don;t know where and how to head right now.

We got an email for our RFE on June 8th, and we were waiting for our letter for a week or so but nothing showed up, then my fiance called USCIS to get the information, they told her - we have shipped your letter through a normal post and we can't provide any further updates for the next 30 days i.e. till July 8th.

We waited till that time since we didn't have any other choice, July 8th - we called back to USCIS office and the person told they have again shipped the RFE letter and we should get this within next 5 business days.

Again the wait period starts and we have no clue, we waited till July 15th but still no letter, we then called again to USCIS - customer care transferred the call to another Tier 2 officer; this lady gave a different news this time - she says either the RFE letter was never typed and sent over to you OR your case never required additional proofs i.e NO RFE, she said she will get back to us with the final reason.

We called USCIS office yesterday again - the Tier 2 officer called after 90 minutes of our call to customer care - he verified all my fiance's details to check the case status and then put the call on hold, after 2 mins while on hold he just HUNG UP and never called back. We again tried calling customer service and they said, they can't transfer the call anymore.

WE ARE really screwed up with the whole process; people are really not responsible or even answer properly.

Any suggestions here people, what should be the next course of action here???

Thanks,

Yanisa was approved at the interview this morning. Her actual interview only lasted 2 minutes. They asked her 3 questions.

Where did you meet?

Who is this person? (showing a pic of me.)

Where does he live?

I happened to be in Bangkok at the same time her interview was scheduled, waiting across the street at a Starbucks nearby.

We also met another nice couple, he's from Hawaii also. She was also approved.

Friends, can some one please help out with the address where you have to send your documents for RFE?

I am trying to send some docs blindly since I dont even know what my RFE is about.

Any help would be appreciated

Don't do that.

If you have a rfe coming, wait for it in the mail. The letter you receive will have address and explanation of what info you need to send back, it should be be sent back with your documents,p and will have some sort of identification that will help match the response to your file

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation, simer86. And I'm sorry I can't help you with the address or such. :(

Good idea to look through the guides for the K-1 and go through the whole checklist again, maybe you can figure out what the RFE is about. Maybe it's just a missed signature or a box on the form that wasn't checked or something. Would it be worth it to send the whole package again? And to really, really go through every single little part of it before that. I don't know, it's a very tricky situation.

Do you know for sure that USCIS has the exact right address to you? You don't want to miss out on the hardcopy of NOA2 later on. =/

They can't just send random papers. They should be contacting usps, to check if there's any letter being held or any trouble with letter coming to their address, contacting uscis to have a change of address, have their communications sent somewhere else (friends, parents, etc). If those don't work, contact their congressperson or uscis ombudsman. Sitting and waiting is an option if that's what they want. But sending random papers without being asked to will just add confusion, if ever get matched to the case.

the address is correct - we were supposed to get other mails also on 11, 12th June which we did receive. Also when the first Tier 2 officer said, we should wait for another 5 business days, we were supposed to get something on 11th july , where we did get all our regular mails but nothing from USCIS.

Well, the problem is we dont know even if there was any letter sent or not.

When we talked to Tier 2 officer 2nd time - the lady said, there is a possibility that you never had an RFE or the person never typed your RFE

They are not even emailing anything.

I guess, changing my address can be some help but what if the RFE was never required as the Tier 2 officer told.

i am no damn pissed off and dont know which door to knock, this is something really ridiculous

I understand that you're pissed off and it doesn't make it any better that USCIS in many cases don't bother to change your address in their systems, in case you want to try and do that. So many stories on here lately where address changes never went through - us included. NOA2 was sent to the old address despite us changing the address a few weeks prior to that and we even got a confirmation that the change had been made.

At least we got the note eventually, I'm so sorry for you to go through this. =/

Id start contacting the congress person and ombudsman, they may not be able to help right now because I think you're still wishing the processing times, but that might trigger an update. Edited by p-ana
