Hi everyone,

Need some help here we are currently awaiting on NVC# and have called with no luck yet. Question is both of us USC and beneficiary live in Australia but are moving this Tuesday, USC returning home and beneficiary moving back to home country (Malaysia) how do we go about changing our address as we've been living together over here and all correspondences for K1 related has been the Australian address.

I'm also waiting on getting the NVC case number, our NOA2 date is a day before yours. I've been calling almost daily and getting the usual "you must wait 4-6 weeks, blah, blah, blah". Regarding your move, you need to update your address with USCIS and NVC, you can do this over the phone. If you listed on the I-129F petition the beneficiary's country as Malaysia, the case will be transferred to the Embassy/Consulate there after NVC does their part and you should be set. If you listed Australia, then you must get on the phone ASAP and update your addresses so the case goes to the right place and there is no further delay. Edited by MandyAlex

03/02/2016- NOA1 hard copy received
06/02/2016- Text notification of RFE

06/10/2016- RFE hard copy recv'd and response sent

06/14/2016- RFE response recv'd by USCIS

06/23/2016- Text notification of NOA2 Approval

06/27/2016- Hard copy NOA2 recv'd

07/21/2016- Case Creation Date at Nigerian Consulate

07/22/2016- Called NVC and given case number!

07/27/2016- Case updated to "Ready" status!

07/29/2016- Interview scheduled online! (Set for 8/18/16)

03/15/2017-USCIS Acceptance Confirmation emails received.

03/20/2017- Received all 3 hard copies of NOA1 in mail.

03/23/2017- USCIS website indicated RFIE sent for I-485 by mail 03/21/2017

03/xx/2017-Biometrics letter received (can't recall exact date but week of 3/27)

04/10/2017-Notice recv'd that RFIE was returned to USCIS; sent inquiry to re-send to same address

04/13/2017- Biometrics done

I thought things would fly by after the NOA2 but it turns out this is going to be a longer wait for us than anything. Apparently, our embassy is backed up and we can't get an interview for 2-3 months. Which is absolutely heartbreaking. But what can we do. :( Anyways, it's all embassy specific. But hopefully in your case things will move faster.

I thought things would fly by after the NOA2 but it turns out this is going to be a longer wait for us than anything. Thanks for that really appreciate this. The beneficiary country for interview is listed as Malaysia but mailling address was listed as Australian. Will updated asap. Thanks again

I am a bit unsure of what I (the petitioner) should bring to enter the embassy? Just my passport?
