My fiance arrived last night via Boston as port of entry. He says the immigration officer in Boston was very friendly even suggesting and giving him directions on how to take a train down town Boston since he had a long layover. I am so happy that this phase is over and the next phase we can work on it together under one roof. It feels so good and surreal to have him home.

Again, I wish everyone all the best.. Believe in your love and focus on the price no matter how daunting the task may seem. What I learnt in the process is that the immigration officers are human beings just like us.

Congrats! Glad he had a good POE! :)

Print out the sites TOS and send them and e-mail where you ask them to state they are not IMB and then send it with the TOS. Did you write how you met in real life too and so on?

We are pulling a response together, have not yet responded. In our original submission we just said "met online" which it seems was bad advice... the original submission had some details of how we met and what we did while I was in Indonesia, but we have prepared more detail in a narrative, including some PDFs of screen prints of the very first messages, and some narrative on our first date and how things transpired. (how we did more and more stuff together, went on holiday in Bali, and in KL, etc and how we stayed in touch) ... maybe too much detail? How much detail on "circumstances of meeting" is appropriate?

In the response we are preparing I also have included the OKC Terms of Service, as well as an excerpt from the IMBRA (the so called "section 4 b") talking about exemption and in my cover letter I say that the exemption applies because OKC is free to all wihtout any restrictions. I tried writing OKC but I am dubious that they will reply.

How critical is an actual email from OKC?

Mine wrote online too but we already included all the webpage stuff.

Circumstance of meeting...... I met XXX in XXX (place) on the XXX year XXX and bla bla and then provide evidence of that meeting. Like boarding passes, stamps from passport and so on you don't have to make it more complicated then that. Remember to sign it.

Hey guys! I hope you can help.. I'm a little confused... I just got off the phone with NVC.. they said they received our case on 6/10 but that it takes up to two weeks for them to "put it into the system." ...So do I have to wait and call them back in two weeks to receive the new tracking number or whatever? Ughhhh I'm so confused, help! -Allie

Well what do you know, I just got an email back from OKC confirming they are not an IMB... so I think we have that part nailed. So happy to hear from OKC (I love them a lot!!!)

So you think the evidence like boarding passes is helpful? I was on a business trip, I have receipts for everything from the trip, as it turns out, already scanned in. I'm concerned about sending them TOO MUCH stuff... is that a concern do people think? Is it possiible to send so much stuff that it becomes too much?

Just a standard response. Try later or tomorrow

Yes there is no reason to send them more then they ask for. Yes boarding passes are very good to send in along with stamps and pictures

I wasn't sure if it was appropriate for me to post about this or not.. but I feel like I had to say something. As many of you are beneficiaries, and are soon coming to my beautiful country, and may some day calls yourselves Americans too. I am a citizen of Orlando, Florida, where the tragedy of this weekend occurred. There has been lots of violence in America, and it seems to only be increasing. I am a born and raised New Yorker, lived through 9/11, and now this.. hitting close to home once again. I don't want to focus on the bad, the point of this post is to let you know the patriotism and love that rises in times of tragedy in this country. As someone who has been close to two of the biggest tragedies in history, I can tell you, this country and our people are amazing the way they come together. People came out by the hundreds to give blood this weekend to the victims that are still hospitalized. I think this quote says it perfectly. "No, Orlando is not 'Home' to the U.S.'s Most Deadliest Mass Shooting: We don't house hatred and terror. Orlando is City Beautiful. It's 'Home' of The Magic, Solar Bears, Orlando City Lions, the Pride, and the UCF Knights. It's 'Home' to the U.S.'s Best Pediatric Hospitals, Trauma Centers, and Stroke/Cardiac Comprehensive Centers. It's 'Home' to Mickey Mouse. It's 'Home' to the areas Bravest and Finest First Responders. It's 'Home' to the hundreds of strangers and neighbors who stood in line for hours to donate blood in time of crisis. Better yet, it's my 'Home' and we are Orlando Strong!"

My Mum lives in Orlando and I grew up there for a few years. It's a beautiful city and the people are so very friendly. This is just one time, from one person who obviously needed mental care, and doesn't reflect on the State at all. I hope that people take the time to grieve, then remember that this is not what Orlando is about. That there is so much more there than what happened.

That said, America does have it's own issues, as does any other Country, so please be aware of that when you're moving. It won't be perfect, it is not the greatest Country in the world (there is none - we are all different and have the best of something). There will be things someone finds wrong. But it is a good place to live and for those of us moving there.. we have our loved one (or multiple people) by our sides to help us through the change!

Hi everyone! I have been following this forum for a long time but never actually wrote anything since I didn't have enough knowledge to share. Congratulations to everyone who already got their approval and hang it there for those who did not yet. it will come. Positive vibes.

We filed for K1 fiancé visa in March 2016. My fiancé and I got an RFE in the mail today asking for evidence to show that we (the petitioner and beneficiary) have met in person before sending the petition. I have been an au pair from July 2014 to July 2015 and I met my fiancé in October 2014 and we starting dating since then. We would see each other every weekend. We traveled together around the US and we have provided this evidence when sending the petition, like airbnb receipts with both our names. My fiancé came to visit in December 2015 in Italy we sent them his ticket, but not the passport stamp. The only stamps he has in his passport are from the connecting flight in Germany, there are no stamps at his final destination in Italy. How can we work around this?

I went for two weeks in April 2016 to visit him and I have my passport stamps and boarding passes, should we also send that proof?

I don't know if it is ok because it was after we filed the petition. What are your thoughts?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Here is the list of evidence we are considering sending back:

-Explanation of meeting circumstances

-AirBNB receipt to New York (with both our names on)
-AirBNB receipt to Virginia Beach (with both our names on)
-Plane ticket for Italy December 2015 through january 2016
-Credit card statement showing purchases in Italy
-All copies of petitioner passport including the passport stamp
-Copy of Beneficiary J1 Visa to the U.S. showing I have been in the Stases for one year
-Pictures in New York
-Pictures in Italy at the Vatican City
-Different other pictures of us in US and Italy

Petition I-129F sent 02/26/2016

NOA1 received text and Email 03/07/2016

NOA1 Hard copy received in the mail 03/10/2016

RFE received text and email 06/08/2016

RFE reply's sent 06/16/2016

USCIS received RFE response 06/17/2016

NOA2: APPROVED 06/30/2016 :goofy:

NOA2 HARD COPY RECEIVED: 07/05/2016
