Hi everyone.

We filed feburary and it was received the 8th.

I am curios, after NOA2, does NVC call me personally or just mail and I recieve electronic notificacion? What if I miss their call?

Begin calling 10 business days after your receive your text message that your case has been approved. You may get the pad answer "call back in 35 days" but just call again the next day and until you get your case number.

Pretty much this - I think I said on an earlier thread that the best piece of advice I ever received about this whole process is to disregard timelines. It'll happen when it happens

I couldn't agree more with your assessment. When you have your actual interview and they ask 3 questions and 5 minuets later your approved and it's all over you'll look back say to yourself "why did I fret over this as much as I did" jeeeeesh.

Exactly yeah - I used to panic over the interview a little while ago but after being told repeatedly that the London interview is quite literally three questions that lasts about 2 minutes, I'm just taking it all in my stride, I'll go to the interview with all the documents and proof I need and answer the questions and I'll be golden :)

Here is something you must consider when contemplating where you will get your vaccinations. If you do them in your own country then your DS-3025 will show they are complete. Then when you file your AOS you just include the a copy of the DS-3025 for the proof that they were completed. If you wait till you arrive in the States and have them done then you must see a Civil Surgeon who has to transpose all your different vaccinations (those you received in your country and those that you received here in the States) to one document I-693, which they will charge a pretty penny if not more.

http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!ds-3025-medical/c1oua My website lists some additional concerns and additional documents recommended to send with your AOS medical portion.

Save yourself the headache, get them done in your country before you arrive in the States.

Also, don't forget this: For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

Ok, sorry to be a pain but I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing. When I was just born in the Netherlands, I was given vaccinations for Diphteria, Pertussis, Tetanus and Polio, Mumps, Measles, Rubella. This was then repeated again when I was 9, back in 1997 so that's almost 20 years ago. To be prepared for the first medical here in the UK, I would like to get the correct vaccinations already, so do I just make an appointment with my GP and arrange for me to get vaccinations again for:

- MMR

- DTP (because this has been more than 10 years)

- Varicella (I never had the chickenpox)

Lastly, I just have a record/overview of the above mentioned vaccinations given in the Netherlands. I never had any vaccinations after that. Would that be enough to bring to the medical? I don't actually know what an immunization record is, so I don't have that. Is it required to bring that to the medical? Sorry everyone, I am just a bit stressed and confused about it and I want to be prepared so that I don't delay anything myself.

Thanks.

Take what you have available to the medical. If you don't have anything, you'll be set up to get all the vaccines necessary to enter. If you bring something, you might not need as many vaccinations to enter.

Ya know, to be honest, my fiancée and I don't "hope" for anything... We've found that it's a lot easier to just "submit it and forget it" because, after tons of reading on here, it seems that people go stir crazy hoping and waiting. The estimated times on here are pretty accurate so there's never any good in hoping for a sooner time or looking every single day for something that statistics say aren't going to happen yet... It really makes life less stressful. Our NOA1 came pretty much as it was supposed to and we expect our NOA2 to do the same (unless there's an RFE, which you can't help regardless). 4-5 months after submission of a solid petition is what you should look for... Other than that dude, have no worries and just float on, ya know what I mean? Patience is truly a virtue, unfortunately not one I have, but it helps to pretend haha.

Yeah, It's just hard when I'm missing my family in Texas so badly but I can't leave him here. :(

Welcome. If you are illegal in Ireland you can't have the interview there. Where are you from?

Hoping to be there by June/July.

I'm a USC so it's not me the visa is for. My Fiance is Irish/British dual citizen so he's here legaly :)

Thanksgiving is doable but you need to get a move on things as it takes 4-6 months depending on the wind. Also, speaking of wind. If the US gets wind of you being "out of status" in Ireland, you could have a long road ahead. You need to get right with Ireland.

Yeah I have everything all done it just needs to be printed/mailed. Which will probably be in a week at the latest.

Why would the US care about me being Out of Status in Ireland? I'm not the recipient of the visa. Everytime I've been to the Embassy in Dublin for CItizen Services (passport, voting, etc) they've never even asked for anything besides my passport.

Our Story (L)
11-2012 Met and Began Dating
5-2014 Moved in together
8-2014 Visited Katie's Family in TX
5-2015 Visited TX Again
10-2015 Will Popped the question

I could very well be wrong here - but if your fiance is in Ireland legally then I would assume he'll be OK during the US visa process, if he was in Ireland illegally - then you might run into some problems

That was my understanding too! I guess I may have phrased it funny in my original post or something. :) Dublin seems like an easy enough interview from what I can find on the interwebs. Plus every time I've been there or contacted them it's all been really easy and they're v friendly. I just wish that we could get married, do DCF in London and have him his greencard MUCH faster. But alas, that's not how it works.

Things are moving quite quick as is at the minute, we got our NOA1 on the 17th February and the estimated approval date is the 1st-4th April - this is just an estimate of course, but thats only about six weeks, then the medical and interview etc.

I'll feel much better I think once things are actually in the mail/in the lockbox.

Six weeks? Thats crazy! So much faster than the 8 months I had prepared myself for, I know it could be longer but even if it's double that it's still much quicker :dancing:

I'm a member of another forum, and they had me prepared for a huge wait too - I was pleasantly surprised when I joined VisaJourney and saw that people who filed in December are currently getting their NOA2's
