So my lawyer now says I must pay a fee for the rfe additional documents ..pathetic we've paid over 2000$ already

Pay for what? What are they asking you to provide in the RFE? I had a lawyer but I replied to the RFE the same day I received it, much faster than my lawyer would have and for free at that. More than likely it's something you can easily do on your own.

I'd advice you to get rid of the lawyer and do it yourself.

Sorry to hear that....I was lucky then...paid a laywer $950 and everything we to just fine and the visa was approved last week...no RFE

OMG, after 96 days I finally see our case status changing!

Unfortunately it's an RFE but I'm still glad it's not lost anywhere! We'll try to work on it as soon as possible. We also have a lawyer & I think I'm not the only one who has a lawyer and still got an RFE. =\

Nevertheless, I'm very relieved!!! :D

Good sign, at least you know that someone has touched your file, i know it will be an easy RFE, just mail it right away so they can be approved!

That's a bummer. I know people around here who calls everyday none stop until they get help. If it helps, I have checked and have been keeping an eye on receipt numbers filed the same date as mine and have noticed a pattern. A lot have been approve but the ones that aren't are all getting RFEs one after the other. I feel like they have kept us on hold so they can send it out in a bundle. We are waiting for the hard copy to know for sure where it went wrong. Keep trying to call. I'm sure they can't always be 'unavailable'.
