Got my vaccinations all booked in for the 1st of March for the MMr, Tetanus and Flu Job, I don't need the Viricella one as I've already had chickenpox when I was younger :)

Do we need to get these vaccinations all in advance? I was under the impression this would be done at the medical? Where in the UK are you getting this done?

You can have them done at the medical, but it'll cost you. I think it's £35 per vaccination. You don't strictly *need* them for the visa, but you do need them for the adjustment of status, and it'll cost more in the U.S

I just booked an appointment with a nurse at my local GP, filled in a form basically saying why I needed them, and thats all I did :)

Ok, cool. Thanks. How much does it cost in the UK then? Could you tell me which ones we need for the K1 visa and which onr for the AOS? Then I'll start doing that too.

You don't need any for the K1, if you're from the UK I believe - but I could be wrong on that, but it's advised you get them before you move to the USA because you do need them for the AOS and it'll cost you in the USA, the ones I need (I'm 24) are;

1) Tetanus

2) Flu shot

3) MMr

Take a look at some of the guides on this forum, they tell you everything you need to know :)

I'm not sure how much they cost, the only one I know for sure is the tetanus is £25, but the other two - who knows, I'll find out at my appointment I'm sure

If your fiance has medical insurance in the USA then it will probably be cheaper to get vaccines in the USA. For example, when I marry my fiance he will be covered under my medical insurance and it will only cost $15 for all the vaccines (that's total not each).

For the Fiance Letter of Intent for both me and my fiancé to fill out. It asks "address of filing location" do we both put the same Dallas TX address? Also for the part where I put name of country where embassy is located and address, what would I put there if I'm from Los Angeles and what would she put down when she's from France? Thank you so much!

If it asks for address of filing location, put the Dallas TX address.

When you say 'Also for the part where I put name of country where Embassy is located and address' - is that on the I-129F? If so, if it's the part I'm thinking of towards the back - it'll be your fiances country. I could be wrong though.

On the fiancé letter of intent it asks about the embassy. I looked at the sample letter here on visa journey and that's what it is saying to fill in. I just want to be sure we both put in the right things. So since she is from France I'm guessing her embassy is in Paris and mine would be in? Thank you!

It's just a sample letter there is nothing right or wrong there. As long as it says you are willing and free to marry within the 90 days you are good.

Yours will also be embassy of France. No address is needed you can write it as you wish as long as it has the above and your signature you are good.

I thought we only needed the flu shot if it was October or later we went for the interview?

Edit* I'm totally 100% scared of needles and had to be drugged up to get my immunizations done. The flu shot isn't available where I live until later in the year so since the timeline seems to be going fast, I wasn't going to get it done until I absolutely had to.

*Note on flu shot: Flu shots are required for adults of all ages if your visa exam was between (Oct 1 and March 31). But if the AOS adjudicator picks up your case when it is not flu season, you will be excused. And the reverse is true. The adjudicator picks up your case during flu season, but sees it was NOT flu season when you had your medical exam, you are also excused because the date they go by is the date of your visa exam to determine if you were current on that date. Keep in mind that if you go to a civil surgeon for an I-693, then you are resetting the medical exam date for immunizations and you may have to get second doses of shots or a flu shot to become current on your new immunization date of record.

Not needed if you wait with the medical exam til after March 31 :) and since people in here won't get their NOA2 before end of March and medical in April it is not needed.

After I turn in my I-129f how long does it usually take for everything so my fiancé can get her k-1 visa in Paris, France? Than also how long will it take for her to receive the k-1 so she can come for marriage? Thank you.

You will have to look at timelines for other people from France since it also depends on the embassy and how fast they are processing and how fast they give interview.

But my guess will be 4-6 months. If everything is fine she should have her visa about 14 days after the interview.
