Hi everyone, I was wondering about something. What are your wedding plans omce you got the visa? We are having a hard time deciding how to deal with it. Ideally we would like a wedding with a ceremony and wedding reception, but it's difficult to do that with this visa and especially since it would be best to apply for AOS as soon as possible after entering the US. We are thinking about doing a civil wedding right after I would arrive and then later a bigger party in November. Being a perfectionist and all, this is a though one because I am scared that when my family comes over for the wedding in November, it won't feel the same because officially we would already be married. What are your thoughts on this and what are your plans?

Hey guys! Does anyone out there still waiting for noa2 and filed last February? We r now in 76 days of waiting..

Same here, the wait period is on and on and on...

Filed our case on Feb 26th and I was really glad when at first I saw on this forum that NOA2 approval average time is 42-48 days. But now its more than 70 days. Not sure what sequence does these guys follow to approve the cases :angry:

We are also in the same boat. Lol 87 days and counting. As the weeks go on I'm getting more and more discoraged I keep hoping it's the next week but no avail. But trying to focus on the baby now. I get to see our little munchkin next week so really looking forward to that. ? then I look forward to my next appointment in June, and just hope I'm approved somewhere in between.

I was just wondering for those of you who got a name update or dob update how long was approval after that, I saw some where pretty quick?

I have always hated the 2 wedding stuff!!!...

But with this visa process the planning just can't be there so my family can attend within the 90 days.

So the 3 of us are going to the mountains for a long weekend and then we'll do it there in the end of July.

And then in November as my boy is off from school my family will come over and then we will do it again there

for mine and his family will attend :)

Really stressing out as she's visiting my country on Tuesday. It's her first time outside the U.S., and she is meeting my family & friends. :dancing::dancing::dancing:

Got an email from the embassy after scheduling the interview, in the body of the letter they request for some scans of the documents required for the interveiw to facilitate the process(as in police certificate scan, foreign passport scan, they are not sent with the petition, only needed for interview), but what made me feel weird was the subject of the email "Your ustraveldocs.com inquiry Case-2016-xxxxxxx Has Been Closed". Is everything as it should be?

Because of AOS we are having a court house 'official' wedding when I get there in July so we can apply for AOS. Then we will have a ceremony in October with a dress and a celebration etc. We wanted to just have the one wedding but I need the EAD.

We are also planning to just do a civil wedding once arriving in the states, then maybe later on when things (paperwork) calms down doing something with friends and family. I also feel like it's hard for all of us who are getting a visa to plan because we never really know how long anything is going to take, or what to expect. :/ I feel so mentally drained from the whole process, I don't even think I could thoroughly plan a nice wedding right now haha!

I wish you and yours much happiness and success in the future :) <3

We both want a no fuss wedding so we're driving over to Santa Barbara courthouse for ours (we at least want nice scenery like the beach haha). After that we'll come back to Bakersfield and have a dinner with family and friends to celebrate with them. I just started thinking about everything we need to get done last week for a "no fuss" wedding and it's more than I thought haha.

I emailed the embassy for something and they responded within 24 hours (I realize it's now the weekend over there though)

For us the plan is: Civil wedding at the courthouse and then have a BBQ for our close friends and family, get AOS out of the way first since its another financial strain, and when we can breath again (financially), sometime next year we plan to then travel to one of the resorts in the Islands (The Bahamas, Cancun or Jamaica (whomever offers the best deal lol)) for our dream intimate smallish beach wedding combined with a six-day vacation/honeymoon. We both want a wedding on the beach in the Islands so we figured this is the best route to take as far finances are concerned. We are hoping we can get most of our closest friends and family join us. We are selling it as a vacation but also they will be coming to our wedding so they get to enjoy both. We are leaving everything in God's hands to see us through this not so easy but wonderful and exciting journey...

Good luck to everyone....
