Hi Georgia,

That's the problem though, it didn't cover the 5 years... I was still at 2012 with the second one.

Did you already have your medical when you filled in the DS-160?

Yes we did but we didn't get any vaccines any of us ....

UK people usually get the vaccines in advance to their medical so if you have had those too then you already have them.

2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 that's 5 years so maybe that's enough for them.

So this is how the Lusaka embassy works: This I found out after I emailed the embassy letting them know that per NVC status tracker the embassy had received our case and could they inform us (me and the beneficiary) how to proceed

I received an email from the embassy confirming that they had received the file from the NVC and the beneficiary should now prepare for the visa interview by following instructions on the website (link provided). Visa medicals examinations are conducted at Lusaka Trust Hospital (they gave the address). Police certificate to be obtained the at Police headquarters (the provided the address). After he has obtained all the required documents and is ready to attend the interview, the beneficiary should schedule an appointment via email (they provided the email address) to come to the embassy on a Thursday morning (sounds like they only do K-1 interviews only on Thursdays). The visa fee is $265 and payable at the Embassy in US dollars cash or local currency cash.

So this is different from what I had read on their website were they had a link to an appointment site. Anyway I have canceled the appointment we made last week and we will schedule interview appointment according to their instructions which is via email. Strange that they do not use the appointment website that for the K-1 visa (maybe this is new). Anyway beneficiary will take care of the medicals and then schedule interview.

Thanks Georgia. I believe the employment history is known-issue, but wasn't sure if anyone else recently has experienced it. I will just take my CV to the interview and screenshot that shows it's greyed out in case they do ask about it. Nothing else I can do about it.

I'll just wait until this week when I had my medical to submit it and also submit my readiness form.

People have always taken their medical in advance of getting packet 3 from what I know. But by the time you get down to London etc it probably will be 'ready' and then it takes 5 days for the medical results to reach the right department. So for example if I get my LND this week (God willing) I'd probably book my medical for end of this week, beginning of next. Then I can book my interview the following week. I have seen people book their interview sooner, but I don't know how that'll work. It just said that the embassy MUST have the medical before the interview date. So I'm not sure it matters when you book it, as long as you don't get held up at your medical stage. Your CEAC must say 'Ready' Before you can book the interview.

Ahh, that makes sense. Well, it's all the same now because it's "ready" now. :)

Here we go!!

Better luck with 603-334-0888 if it's a non-immigrant visa
