Does anyone know specifics on the required police report for the interview? My fiance called his local police dept and they said to email them the question and we still haven't heard anything back.

I finally got the application sent. Dropped it in a FedEx box today.

How do you add the information at the bottom of your posts? I'm technologically impaired.

I'd like to add that there is a way to put your timeline so that it is visible each time you submit a reply or question. If you see below in my "signature box" is items that I have entered. Here are the instructions. Experiment and have fun.

Go up to the far right and click on your name

Select "my profile"

Under your picture on the left side column, select "edit my profile"

Go down the list under your picture and select "signature"

Next screen there are two boxes over each other one says "My current signature" and the bottom box says "Edit Signature"

Go down to the lower box and begin to design your "signature"

Once you save it then you will see what it looks like in the top box

Once you leave all your past and present entry's will have your new "signature" box

Most use it for putting their timeline so others can quickly see which stage you are in.

Have fun.

Hi I'm just starting the I-129f and need some help please. My fiancé is from France and trying to bring here to Los Angeles. We have been together for a year and a half so is this still ok? Also it says it needs a passport type picture of both of us within the 30 days of sending the form. So she needs to take a picture and send it to me through mail? It's says $340 fee so this is right and what is the address I send my envelope with the form too? What is everything that you put in your envelope besides the form and check? Like pictures and what else? Sorry for so many questions. You all are my only help and want to do this correctly. All the help would be best on my journey to bringing my fiancé home finally... Thank you!!

First of all welcome :)

Second you need to educate yourself on this process.

Here read this.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

It doesn't matter how long you have been together as long as you are both free to marry and have met within 2 years.

Yes, she needs to mail the passport photo to you along with a wet signature on the Letter of intent to marry and form G-325A.

Yes, the fee for filing is $340 but please do remember that there will be several other fees with this process + the Adjustment of status when she get there.

You can file your petition to one of these adresses:

The USCIS Dallas Lockbox

For U.S. Postal Service:

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For Express mail and courier deliveries:

Lewisville, TX 75067

Here's the link that we followed when we assembled our I-129f package :) Hope that it helps :)

I dont think the length of your relationship matters as long as its a bonafide relationship and you can prove that it is :)

I sent my fiancé my recent passport size picture along with the G-325a and the letter of intent to marry via a courier and he was the one who basically finalized the package :)

Goodluck to you and your fiance! ?

Thank you so much for helping me this is making it easier for me. Also I was on the USCIS website and it looks like I need to send the form g-1145 notification of acceptance for the petition? Is this what you all did too? Right now I know to send the i-129f with the g-325a that my fiancé will send to me with her photo. Is this correct? Any other things I should send? Thank you so much again!!
