NVC (as of today) knows about my case but doesn't have the reference numbers yet.

We are waiting for the NVC, too! My fiance called yesterday and they gave the usual answer "35 days from NOA2 date..." So we will try again later :)

I checked out your timeline and I'm from the Philippines, too and we have almost the same NOA2 date. You guys are just ahead by a day :)

Did anyone get a letter with the case#? Or everyone called to get one?

We still haven't gotten through being put on hold. And the NOA2 Hardcopy asks to email for the case# but they don't reply to emails at all.

We called to get ours so we'd know it earlier, but my Fiance also got a copy in the mail about a week later.

Still waiting for NOA2 after an RFE.

We are on day 79.

Ugh! Just got an RFE. We were so thorough too. Hope it's not something stupid like OK Cupid TOS..

But at least there's movement. Any idea how long it usually takes to respond and get through after hearing?

So sorry to hear it stinks but like you said at least you have movement.I got an RFE on Apr 11 got the hard copy on the 18th overnighted it they received it the 19th and still waiting for an approval. We also met on OKCupid and I sent the TOS and contacted customer service and they sent me an email that I also printed off and sent along with some of the other legal docs just to be on the safe side and our initial meeting conversation. Good luck everything will be fine it's just the waiting that kills you.

Our case got to the NVC today! No case number yet though.. I'll try again Monday.

I'm so eager to get everything scheduled and done because we want to set our wedding date! Everything is going faster than expected so we should be okay to book now, but I'd rather wait to have the visa in hand than book it now and then have something come up that derails us. :clock:

When nvc send the case to the embassy they also send a letter to the petitioner.what number are you calling? And yes sometimes the wait can be long but either wait or try calling late or early their time

Thanks for clarifying that.

They just emailed us back with the case# (In Transit)

How much updates will the case check give? I know of Ready but does it show more detailed updates too, like delivered (initially), or if their checklist etc are emailed to me?

Fiance called NVC again today and they told us that they already received our case but its not in their system yet. My fiance asked if they have an idea when it will be ready and the NVC person answered "42 days from now." ?

Is that another one of their auto-response? Also, do you guys advice on emailing them for the #, too? If yes, when is the right time to email them for it?

Thanks guys!!!

Also my fiance found the following page

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

Which says

“After you collect your Affidavit of Support form(s) and financial evidence in Step 4, and supporting documents in Step 5, you must submit all of your forms, financial evidence, and photocopies of your original civil documents in ONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package.”

Also

"After you have paid the necessary fees and submitted the required immigrant visa application, Affidavit of Support, and supporting documents to the National Visa Center (NVC), they will review your file for completeness. Once your case becomes qualified for an interview, NVC will work with the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate to schedule an appointment for you.

NVC schedules appointments one month in advance. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General tells NVC what dates they are holding interviews, and NVC fills these appointments in a first-in, first-out manner. Most appointments are set within 60 days of NVC receipt of all requested documentation. However, we cannot predict when an interview appointment will be available."

And I was under the impression i needed to bring the Affidavits to the interview? As the official site contradicts what VJ says. And the checklist from the embassy in Amsterdam also doesn't specify that I need to bring it to the interview "Obtain the following documents on this checklist which pertain to you." — "EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: Original completed form I-134 with original signature: Evidence which will show that you and your children, if any, are not likely to become public charges in the United States. If an affidavit of support is submitted, Form I-134 should be used. The Form I-134 can only be considered for acceptance if duly completed and supporting documents are attached."

This page reaffirms the VJ guide though.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/family/fiance-k-1.html#4

"You, the foreign-citizen fiancé(e), (and eligible children applying for K-2 visas) will be required to bring the following forms and documents to the visa interview:Evidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)"
