Some of it from here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/588504-medical-to-interview-date-2016-data-only-title-edited/?p=8058841 but anything new I found out is because I chat to people on the January thread that are in the UK. I started reading the February thread because I got an RFE and a lot of you are waiting for NVC around the same date that I got approved. 4 people I speak to have all just booked their appointments and they got June 1st and June 7th. Then there is another person who I speak to and we are both waiting for our case numbers at NVC right now. I'm hoping to hear soon, but most likely it'll be next week. Apparently the DS-160 takes ages, I'd start getting a digital photo https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/photos/photos.html It took me a few hours with my phone and the tool on the official site.

If you need any more advice just let me know. I don't know everything... but I will always try to help as much as I can. We're both in the UK so I'll probably know info that is relevant to you.

Thank you so much, some parts of this process are a little confusing. I really appreciate your help!

So, at this point, we're just waiting to hear from the NVC and the embassy, right? (I haven't gotten the NVC letter yet, just the number.)

thnx Gerorgia, it's just our wedding plan hold by for the date of approval.

It's hard to plan anything doing a process like this because anything can change or get delayed unfortunately.

I do hope you make it to the date you had hoped for!

Oh yes!...

How far are people??

Who is waiting for NOA2?

Who is waiting for NVC?

Who is waiting for their embassy to get back?

And who is waiting for the interview?

Seems that there are people waiting for it all, would be nice to hear how far people have gotten so far?

Ugh! Just got an RFE. We were so thorough too. Hope it's not something stupid like OK Cupid TOS..

But at least there's movement. Any idea how long it usually takes to respond and get through after hearing?

Sorry to hear you got an RFE! Hope it's an easy fix.

In about a week you should get the hard copy of it and from when you respond it should take anywhere from 1-4 weeks to get approved. Most I have seen recently have taking about 2 weeks.

I would go to down to the UK subforum and read though about what you need to be doing. Things like getting your vaccinations up to date. You'll need your records for the medical. Then getting a police check done (you need this for the medical too) and there is other paperwork to do with your affidavit if you have that all done then yes just wait for your case number at NVC. Once you have that you can fill in the DS-160 online, book your medical, fill out the readiness form, book your interview and pay your fees. In that order I believe.

Georgia, it's a lovely idea to even make a list who's where, but there are so many people :)

->waiting for the embassy to send an email or contact it in any way to see if they opened our case or even know it's there (according to NVC it has been sent and now is at the embassy)
