Why? are they going to transfer some of the applications to other centers to release some of the backlog at CSC?

I doubt that's the reason CSC seems to move really fast.

So you are hoping to do a K-3 visa. They are not really giving out anymore so it'll be a spouse visa (CR-1 visa) it takes about a year to get.

This is for the February Fiancé filers (of course you are still welcome) if you want to talk to people going through the same as you then you should follow the CR-1 visa forum :)

You edit your timeline on the upper right corner, push your name and go to my timeline and then edit timeline

Hi everybody! I have another question again :)

Is it okay if we use the form 1040ez or does it have to be 1040? I've checked in other forums and I got confused as some say its ok and some say its not :|

Thanks in advance :)

So my Fiance got a letter from NVC today! There's no invoice number and basically tells us to go to the website to learn about the interview, and that our consulate will contact me.

Buuuuut.... there's a problem with the paper. It has my old name on it. I had legally changed my first name last year, passport book, birth certificate.. the whole nine yards. We included my name certificate as well. But the PAPER form says "Danielle" on it. Which is weird, because when I phoned in I used my new first name and they found our application just fine (minus having to spell it out all the time, because people have a hard time with it).

Edit* Forgot to add that our NOA2 had my first name on it (not Danielle). I'm so confused!

Hey guys,

Anyone know what to do with a situation where one would like the stepkids to join them later? As the petitioner, I want to make sure that my fiancé's children can join us later but I am not sure if I need to include them on my affidavit of support and DS-160 form now or petition for them later. I am confused as both forms ask the question and I said 'NO" but I'm wondering is that it the right answer since we have plans for the kids to join us later. We do not know when exactly they will be able to join us but we want to avoid too much paperwork when the time comes.

Anyone who has been in this situation and can give us any guidance or any suggestion or advice on how best to handle the situation will be greatly appreciated. It is three kids we are talking about the eldest is almost 18 and we want to make sure he does not ageout before we can file for him. Unfortunately we cannot file for them now due to financial reasons and uncertainty as to when they can actually join us. The father needs to settle first here before we can even think about bringing the kids. He loves his kids so much and the thought of being away from them for too long is bothering him. I want to make sure I do all I can to help him but I need to know that I have done the right thing from the beginning to make the process easier for the kids later.

They have 1 year from when their father get his visa to join. So it need to before that. Until then you don't anything then what you already have done which is to list them on the I-129F. When time comes you contact the embassy and then they need the medical, DS-160, fee and interview.
