So quick question for those who are past the NVC stage! We have our number and is in transit. I was just looking at the CEAC website and when the option to pay the fee pops up, it mentions an invoice number. Is there a way to get that invoice number right away? Is it on the paper that the NVC is sending my Fiance? Or was it the number (the WAC one) we had before? Sorry to ask so many questions!

All I got from nvc was the case number no invoice number. Maybe it's different from country to country but I was able to pay without right after I did the ds-160 and then book the interview. I'm on from my phone and not home until afternoon my time but I can look what it asked for, for us when we payed

How did you guys get your NVC case number? My NOA2 was on March 29. I keep calling one time per week but they say you have to wait 35 days. Perhaps it is the distance between CSC and NVC in New Hampshire?

I just called them a couple times and the day after they received my case they coild give me my NVC case number. Just try again tomorrow because the 35 days answer is a standard response and is not always applicable to everyone.

Interesting! I can't book the interview for a bit (we need to do a few more things in Canada) but was looking at filling out the rest and paying for it. The website itself wanted an invoice number and I hadn't heard anything about that mentioned on here so I was going, "Well maybe I should ask here first." I don't mind waiting until he gets a hard copy if that's what it takes, but it makes me nervous not knowing if I'm missing something we should have had.

Just to be sure, this is where we need to go for the ds-160?

DS-160 is here :)

Got link from Sweden embassy checklist but it's the same.

https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

You can call tomorrow and get the number you need from NVC I'm pretty sure...

Thank you Georgia and Ree Ren!

We are in the same country and almost at the same time with you ;) Information from this site helped me greatly so I'm just willing to help with what I'm able to as well.

Hi PandySong,

when I called NVC to get my case number, I also got my invoice number on the phone so you may want to give them a call back on Monday and ask for that number :-) It will probably be on one of the letters later on as well but if you want it asap, just call NVC.

All I got from nvc was the case number no invoice number. Maybe it's different from country to country but I was able to pay without right after I did the ds-160 and then book the interview. I'm on from my phone and not home until afternoon my time but I can look what it asked for, for us when we payed

We got both the case number and the invoice number. Maybe it's random and I'm not sure where you have to use that invoice, I've filled the DS160 and the profile on the ustraveldocs and all it didn't ask me for the invoice. Maybe it's not really needed just for their internal use? As I understood from the instructions I will need the receipt number of the payment we'll make to the bank before I book an interview(it's required to book one in my country), also have to wait till the case actually reaches the embassy.

I think the one who said to pay in advance meant so there is time for the payment to actually go through, for my country it's this way, some banks in the USA will re-check as "are you really sure you want to tranfer money to a random ninja in Russia" and it may take a day or two.

This is what my fiance told about that invoice ID (when he got it from the NVC) "That is to pay for the interview, when you are paying for it that invoice number should pop up". It gets confusing at times.

I was wondering if anyone had the same issue as me filling DS160. When I use the photograph, the site accepts is and it looks ok at the page where it was accepted but then when I preview the form the picture gets all blurry. I've tried using different resolution and quality(within the accepted lines), it's all the same - clean and clear picture gets all blurry in preview or if I print out the DS160. I've read somewhere that it's not a big issue as long as you take an extra photograph with you to the interview.

Wait do you have to pay again in the NVC stage? What are you talking about Georgia? How much is it?

Me??? No I haven't said anything about payment at NVC stage.

There is no fee there..

There is only Medical and visa fee left...
